  • Strike raised $80M  in Series B Funding organised by Ten31. 

According to a press release on the 27th, Tuesday, a Chicago-based bitcoin payment gateway Strike headed by Jack Maller, the firm raised $80miilion funds in Series B funding organized by Ten31.  

The press release highlights that two other participants participated in the fundraising: Washinton University, based in St.Louis, the University of Wyoming, and former investors.

The collected funds will improve and grow the Strike payment gateway, making it more customer-friendly and easy to use. Several e-commerce giants, Shopify(Shop), Blackhawk, and NCR, use the Strike Payment protocol.  

Jack Mallers highlighted in his statement, “We’re moving full speed ahead not just to integrate Strike’s revolutionary payments with leading merchants, but globally, with a variety of businesses and partners to innovate and deliver on more financial inclusion.”     

Lightning Network enables Bitcoin to scale and contend with each fiat currency globally. Immediately settling payments with nearly 0% fees is hard to contend against.

Mallers Further added, “Enabling a cheaper, faster and open payment network with some of the biggest financial institutions in the world isn’t fast and easy, but it’s happening. Every company that’s in the business of moving money is interested in superior payments, and we’re in talks with many of them. It doesn’t get any bigger and more exciting than innovating in payments for the betterment of the world.”

Earlier this year, in April, TheCoinRepublic reported that PacSun had become one of the first BitPay partners to accept BTC payments

Significant digital money installment specialist BitPay has added help for the Lightning Network (LN), Bitcoin’s (BTC) Layer-2 versatility arrangement, conceding clients’ admittance to a quicker and less expensive strategy for executing their BTC. 

According to data fromCoinMarketCap, while writing this article, Bitcoin is trading at $18,814.06 with a 24-hour volume of $56,112,728,698. In the last seven days, Bitcoin lowest traded at $ 18,415.59.
