Crypto is on its way to take advantage of movies and feature films evidently clear from Coinbase co-founder and CEO’s recent announcement of an upcoming documentary. On October 4th, 2022, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong took to Twitter announcing the release of “COIN-a founder’s story”.
The documentary on crypto exchange is said to showcase the story of the visionary founder of the leading US crypto exchange. It will be released on Friday, 7th October, 2022 on prominent streaming platforms like Amazon Prime, iTunes, YouTube and several others.
The 28 minutes long documentary consisted of Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, CEO of Uniswap Hayden Adams, American computer scientist David Chaum and several other prominent names in the crypto industry. The crypto documentary directed by famous filmmaker Greg Kohs.
Coinbase CEO’s Take on Documentary
Armstrong highlighted in his Twitter thread the making of the short-film on crypto took three years which included the journey of Coinbase since its launch in 2019 with a glimpse of the crypto industry. For this, the filmmakers were given “unprecedented access inside the company”, he added.
Coinbase CEO wants people to know “the good, the bad, the ugly” side of the business along with the “crazy ups and downs of the tech startup”. He said to demystify the way of creating any tech startup from scratch—citing the creation of Coinbase. This is expected to encourage people who are looking and working towards creating a company of their own.
In his Twitter thread, Armstrong highlighted his belief on technology which he considered a best leverage potential to solve major problems within the world along with improving the human condition. This would need more people to get encouraged to step into tech space to start companies. He added that this made him decide to expose the process and ‘let people know what it’s like’.
Films like video content became a potential and highly influential method of spreading the message effectively. Leveraging the content format for providing people with close exposure to crypto might result in unprecedented benefits following the documentary on crypto exchange founder. Armstrong also said he believes the documentary is expected to lead to ‘the cause of cryptocurrency’.
