Meta Quest Pro is Here

Mark Zuckerberg has finally revealed the long awaited Meta’s Quest Pro VR headset during the Meta Connect Conference. Meta CEO thinks that this product is going to become the next big thing in the sector. Many believe that the organization is going to become the biggest player in the metaverse economy followed by its rival Apple, which is also working on similar tech.

Zuck Bucks think that VR technology will become mainstream like mobile, laptops, television and more. This is similar to the vision presented by author Ernest Cline in his novel Ready Player One in 2011 and Stephen Speilberg in 2018 in the book’s movie adaptation of the same name.

But there is one thing that can keep the organization to achieve their desired objective. The cost of the gadget. Basically, it comes with a hefty value of $1,500 which is a 275% price increase in contrast to Quest 2. This is why the company decided to sell their product to the ones who can afford it, like the architects, molecule chemists and more.

Microsoft also joined hands with Meta to offer their Office 365 applications in the virtual world. The developers will integrate the apps in its latest Quest Pro and Quest 2 headsets. The initiative is important as it will increase productivity in digital worlds. Today, Microsoft Office Suite applications are a must have skills for people in their resumes.

Metaverse development is increasingly gaining pace globally. Recently, Multiverse Labs, an artificial intelligence company, has released a digital twin of Sharjah dubbed Sharjahverse in the United Arab Emirates. The developers explain it as “photorealistic and physics accurate virtual world.” The move comes following the nation’s objective to push the tourism economy.

Meta remains keen towards their latest objective to develop an open and interoperable metaverse. The CEO even changed its name to show the world that the team will primarily focus on virtual worlds. Recently, the organization’s employees started an initiative called Make Mark Happy.

They started the campaign for big metaverse projects which may make Mark Zuckerberg happy. This shows how this fever has taken over the firm since they switched the name. Meta’s Reality labs has already thrown $5.7 Billion in 2022 for developing the virtual worlds and hardware required to build such realms.

Nvidia, the king of the GPU sector, launched Omniverse in April 2021. The platform is designed specifically to develop metaverse applications.

Meta’s share price was changing hands at $128 at the time of publication. The value has gone down following the September 2022 high of $171.
