Customers are purchasing a lot more of the Flow-based NFTs on Sundays, the day of the week when the majority of the real-world games are played, according to sales statistics from Dapper Labs’ officially-licensed NFL All Day NFT collectibles platform, which went live to the general public last month.

NFL All Day’s jumps stand out in the current crypto bear market, which has drastically affected NFT values and sales volume.

NFL All Day topped the overall 24-hour NFT market rankings at CryptoSlam on September 12 and September 19, surpassing the Bored Ape Yacht Club and other expensive “blue chip” projects.

NFL All Day’s average sale price is only $31, compared to Bored Ape’s average sale price of nearly $110,000 worth of ETH so far in September.

According to data from CryptoSlam, secondary market sales for NFL All Day increased by approximately 283% on Sunday, September 11, the day of the first significant slate of games this season, reaching close to $1.17 million. The following day, at slightly over $1.1 million on Monday, September 12, the surge continued.

On September 18, Sunday, it became popular after the platform recorded NFT sales of over $905,000, a 204% increase from the day before. This time, the sales amount marginally increased the next day, reaching about $906,000 on Monday September 19.

Additionally, there are more individual NFL All Day NFT sales on Sunday and Monday, and the average sale price is increasing as a result. For instance, on Saturday, September 10, the platform witnessed the sale of approximately 10,900 NFTs for an average cost of about $28. On the platform the following day, almost 29,400 NFTs were sold for an average of under $40 per.

Senior Vice President of Marketing Dave Feldman of Dapper Labs told Decrypt that the company has noticed a rise in interaction on all game days, including Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. Indeed, since the start of the regular season, CryptoSlam’s data has revealed a daily Wednesday-to-Thursday surge that is less but still visible.

Feldman remarked, “This comes as no surprise to us. There are a couple of reasons why collectors would be purchasing more NFTs during games.” One is that Dapper recently introduced a Playbook feature, which offers weekly challenges based on gathering NFTs and interacting with the platform, particularly on game days.

Users who successfully complete the tasks can receive prizes ranging from packs of NFTs to cosmetic benefits for their profile, such as trophies and banners. Feldman sees NFL All Day as an addition to football fans’ current online game-day rituals, such as social media chitchat or fantasy league participation.
