People from the Ethereum community are often seen to face lashing out at Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson. Recently in a video, several well known people from the Ethereum community were seen to say Cardano (ADA) was a gigantic ponzi scheme. The instance was enough to ignite the debate between the Ethereum community and Hoskinson—which remains mostly heated waiting to get burst out again.
Bitcoin and Ethereum supporter and founder of Bankless, Ryan Sean Adams posted a Tweet mentioning FTX collapse. He said the instance brought the “pitchforks out for the wrong people”, adding that the crypto space becomes “so toxic sometimes.”
In response to the Tweet, a user posted a video clip where it was being stated that “Cardano (ADA) is a ponzi scheme.”
Hoskinson took it to Twitter and stated how other prominent projects like Terra (LUNA), Celsius (CEL) and FTX (FTT) failed but Cardano (ADA) did fine. He furiously said if Cardano is a scam then it’s good to have other aforementioned projects.
FTX collapse acted as a recent instance when both sides took a similar stance.
For instance, Adams’ Twitter feed is full of the posts pointing out towards Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX collapse. In a Tweet, he noted that SBF made the infamous Theranos scam—a so-called medical breakthrough project turned out to be a billion USD worth scam—puny in front of FTX collapse. He even went on to ask for jail for the FTX CEO.
Charles Hoskinson also added his share of hatred over the same stating that FTX founder would end up spending his time in jail.
Well, not the first time when Cardano founder and Ethereum community are facing each other this way. There were many instances when Hoskinson was seen to be ranting on ETH community members.
Earlier in the better part of September, Hoskinson criticized the Ethereum Merge upgrade that took place in the same month. It’s worth noting that Cardano network’s highly anticipated Vasil hard fork also launched during the same time.
On the one hand where the Etheruem community was celebrating the Merge upgrade, Cardano founder was unhappy with it and called out on Twitter and Reddit threads. He said Etherem network needed the network because it has intrinsic flaws in it.
Around the same time, Hoskinson, pointing towards the Ethereum community, said that it would be a crime for the latter to talk about Cardano. The reason for Input Output Global CEO being furious was the ignorance of the crypto community towards the Ouroborus proof-of-stake protocol of Cardano network.
