Bitcoin Non-Zero Addresses Hits ATH of 47K; Marks Soaring Interest

Bitcoin (BTC) has been at the top in the crypto market since its inception. It’s been there for so long that even for a layman, it is synonymous with the newly emerging financial sector. Interest in the biggest cryptocurrency has grown with time, and now it is at the peak, as the number of non-zero Bitcoin wallet addresses suggests. 

According to Glassnode data, the number of overall non-zero balance addresses are at the highest peak. In June 2023, the number of such wallets went beyond 47K. The highest of all time was when there were 47,655,532 non-zero balance wallet addresses, as reported on June 23. 

Currently, as of July 18, though the numbers are down from the highest, it is still above the level with 47,535,338 non-zero addresses. 

The non-zero balance address defined as ‘the wallet’ holds at least 0.01 sum of any digital asset including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Aave (AAVE), etc. 

Glassnode data shows the number of addresses having the minimum 0.01 asset is 12,137,417 while addresses with equal to or more than 10K digital assets stands at 111.

The addresses with USD balance have seen notable changes where the number of addresses with a minimum amount of $1 or more, rose to highest while those with $1 Million or more, are at the highest since November 2022 lows. 

Millionaire Bitcoin Addresses Stabilizing

The number of addresses with $1 or more in balance reached an all time high of 40,327,058 in June, 2023. At present, the number stalls at 40,032,438 addresses. With the advancement of crypto, following the crypto winter to halt after a long year, addresses with $1 Million rose back to significant levels.

The addresses with $1 Million or more balance were at the highest at around 112.8K during the bull run in November 2021. However, it dropped to a recent low of 23K within a year in November 2022. Since 2023’s start, Bitcoin (BTC) price and the overall cryptocurrency market has started soaring again, and so has the number of addresses. Currently, the $1 Million balance addresses are at 74.5K. 

Bitcoin addresses reached a whopping 1,159,555,947 with 484,247 new addresses recorded on July 18, as Glassnode data suggests. Among the addresses, the data shows, approx 72.8% of them are in profit. The figure was above 99% in February 2021. 

At the press time, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $30,083 after losing 1.9% of its value in the last seven days.
