Lucie, the marketing expert of the Shiba Inu development team recently spilled the beans on it. She said that the team wanted the layer-2 blockchain to become a springboard for every other crypto entity. They wanted developers to create games, dApps, metaverse, and other platforms using Shibarium. Also, they wanted to make all this happen at a very low cost.
So, Shibarium came into being and it’s on its way to fulfill its primary objective. One can say that considering the advancements the protocol is bringing forth. In a recent post, Lucie shared a list of sources for the Shib community. It will give them access to the technical documentation, the whitepaper, and the world paper. Moreover, she announced an open invitation for anyone to join the SHIB Discord for any queries.
Other Upgradations Are Ongoing Too
In addition to that, Lucie disclosed information about the upcoming DAOs. She said that the Decentralized Autonomous Organizations are currently under development. Assuring about the future of the ecosystem she said the team will do anything to defend it. She added that the developers have done an amazing job of making the platform robust.
Earlier this week, Lucie shared an X post reminding the community about Shibarium being live. The post urged the community members to start building apps on it. At the same time, she warned people about scammers trying to swindle token owners. She implored the community members to do their research before making any big decisions.
Notably, the Shibarium mainnet has accomplished some marvelous achievements lately. The number of transactions exceeded one million within two weeks of its restart. While the number of minted blocks has reached the 500,000 threshold too.
A Peep Into Shibarium’s Journey So Far
Shiba Inu was originally launched on the Ethereum blockchain. However, the escalating gas fee forced the developers to find an alternative. And the result was Shibarium, a layer-2 solution. It worked on top of Ethereum and routed some activities off-chain to lower the price. The ecosystem received an amazing response from users. The developers had to generate over 21 Million wallets during the testnet phase.
Its mainnet launch became one of the most awaited events in the crypto space in 2023. Unlike the original meme coin, Shibarium was a planned initiative. Its creator, Ryoshi, introduced it back in May 2021. He engineered it to be more scalable while interacting seamlessly with Ethereum. Working on an ingenious structure, Shibarium proved its usability and became popular very soon. Its developers and community members are hoping that its success streak will never cease.
