OKX, a globally popular cryptocurrency spot and derivative exchange, has launched an OKX Crypto Cricket Cup. This tournament will be held from October 5 to November 5, alongside India’s upcoming 2023 international cricket championship.
By launching such events, OKX aims to encourage the participant to learn about Web 3.0, access exclusive, cricket-themed NFTs, and compete for the share of a prize pool worth over $200,00.
The press release states that participants will have to complete tasks, refer friends, and learn about OKX’s Web 3.0 products. Participants will be rewarded with cash for completing the task, including airdrops of NFTs representing real cricket teams competing in international cricket championships.
Market analysts claim that the motive behind launching this Crypto Cricket Cup is to boost crypto and Web 3 adoption in developing nations. In the initial phase, participants can spread their views on social media to win an NFT.
The second phase will begin on October 9, 2023, when users must complete a Web 3.0 quest on the Polygon chain through the OKX wallet.
In the third competition phase, users can earn existing awards by referring the competition to their friends. A source reveals that the OKX Crypto Cricket Cup features cricket-themed NFTs relating to cricket teams such as India, Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka.
The final prize distribution is expected to occur on November 27, 2023, once the international cricket championship 2023 is over.
