Apple Vision Pro is again making the headline with its fashionable design. The headset has made changes to its aesthetic design. The new design uses flat, uniform temples, which may also mean a separate audio accessory. The data from Goldstein Market Intelligence shows that the smart glasses market is set to reach $10.6 Billion by 2024.

Smart glass technology has been used in the military and healthcare for its high-speed wireless connectivity and its use in recording, education, and live streaming. In Apple’s Vision Pro, the company has squeezed software and hardware into smaller and more fashionable frames.

What is Expected Fashion Wise from Apple Vision Pro?

Fashion-wise, it is expected that the design should be attractive and modern. Apple Vision Pro fulfills the need with its sleek and cutting-edge design when compared to Google Glass.

However, its large design raised the question of whether it can be won while traveling or outdoors. Due to its futuristic technological potential, it seems like a headset one would wear in the house or office.

Another problem is its design complexity, which is also causing the production issues. It is kept at a high price of $3,499, but the company still has to make cuts to production due to challenges in the manufacturing of the micro-OLED displays for the headset. It may be the reason for the design changes planned in the second generation, which is slated for a 2025 release.

Companies Investing in Fashionable Smart Glasses

Apple is no stranger to fashion. The company has collaborated with fashion house Hermes to collaborate on the design of the Hermes Watch featuring its hand-stitched leather strap. The built-in speakers provide a rich listening experience.

The social network app Snapchat has its AR glasses which are currently focused on creating AR shopping experiences, permitting people to interact with products in 3D.

Previously, Snap partnered with luxury brand Gucci in 2019, designing glasses like the present Ray-Ban Meta, which can be worn as a fashion accessory as much as wearable technology.

Ray-Ban Meta is housed in frames all too familiar from the eyewear company – the Wayfarer and the Headliner. It has built-in cameras for high-quality photos and immersive videos and livestream capabilities to Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Summary

Apple Vision Pro which is set to launch in late January or early February will have the modern design. It is sleeker in comparison to Google smart glasses.

Fashion-wise companies are investing a lot and for the new headset Apple aims to mirror the sleek and curved look with flat and uniform temples.

The headset has some design complexities causing the production issues. The major challenge is in the manufacturing of the micro-OLED display for the headset.
