The cryptocurrency industry, mainly Bitcoin and Ethereum steal the Pop culture shows of 2023. Whether it is a parade, comedy show, or advertisement, crypto marked its footprint in every field.

FTX Founder’s Trial

Sam-Bankman Fried, the founder of FTX and golden boy of the crypto world, has already been arrested in 2023 for seven counts of fraud. Sam’s trial sustained the attention of the world towards crypto.

In addition, the release of “Going Infinite” book by Michael Lewis, the same week of Sam’s trial boomed the case. The scenario made individuals compare Sam with other enforced cases, making him the target of media reports and comedians.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Another show that seeks the attention of individuals toward Crypto is Mach’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Designs from the blockchain and crypto space appeared in the parade for the very first time in the 99-year history.

Blue cat and milk cartoon characters from Cool Cats Group NFTs were featured in balloon form. The event took place in November in New York City. In addition to this, in the year 2022, the organizer of the Parade launched an NFT series and arranged a virtual parade within the Metaverse, showcasing the craze for NFTs, Web3, and crypto.

Futurama’s Focus on Bitcoin Miners

Another event that boosted the value of Bitcoin miners is the animated sci-fi series “Futurama”. The series rebooted in 2023, featuring a Bitcoin mining boom after the crypto price hit high after a thousand years.

In addition to this, the latest episode of the series showcases the audience’s belief in humans mining Bitcoin in the year 3023. Also, the main characters of the series are forced to journey to the crypto country and undergo debt to the robot mafia. The Sci-Fi series was released in March 1999, around 10 years before the Bitcoin launch.

Jonathan Goldsmith’s Bitcoin Promotion

Actor Jonathan Goldsmith who appeared in an advertising campaign for Dos Equis beer in 2006, also highlighted crypto in the year 2023. Once featured in “The Most Interesting Man in the World”, Jonathan promoted Bitcoin for Bitwise Asset Management.

The advertisement hints at the potential Bitcoin exchange-traded fund approval and attracts a broad audience range from the commercials. The advertisement revived the character, seeking attention of the crypto enthusiasts worldwide.

Last Week Tonight’s Dive Into Crypto

Another event that delves the world into the sea of crypto is the entry of Last Week Tonight’s host, John Oliver into the crypto universe. After more than five years, the comedian entered the crypto world and broke down the market downturn of 2022, including the collapse of FTX, Celsius, and Terra.

Conclusion
