Ryan Selkis, The CEO of the analytics and exchange platform Messari had his twitter handle shadow banned even the official twitter handle of Messari exchange platform on the coverage of CoronaVirus pandemic, the twitter accounts were offline for a few hours and resumed back service later on 20th of March.

Prior to the downtime Messari had set up a real time tracking account and service that updated data on the number of corona virus and the spread globally including that of the cities in major countries.
Ryan Selkis publishes ban on Messari
Ryan Selkis was however quick in response when he had managed to post about the shadow ban of his personal account on twitter and that of the professional account of Messari on the official website of Messari.
Ryan Selkis also added on the official report on the platform of Messari that most of the major business and personal accounts reported on the twitter handle which had happened for over 48 hours, Ryan completely believed that the coverage and analytics done by his company Messari caused the mass reporting.
As an act of ban only the followers of Messari and Ryan Selkis were able to view the actual tweets about the coverage but the non following accounts were shown unavailable.
Twitter gave an official response on March 21st that all coverings and messages being circulated regarding the covid-19 effect and the Corona Virus pandemic were being nullified from all the false and unaccredited sources.
The crypto community and the followers of the Messari platform promoted to lift the ban from the accounts and justified the journalistic approach of and contribution to cryptocurrency.
The community of followers are now pushed back as the ban is lifted which had caused previous disruptions.
