What Happens When Singularity is achieved by Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
Singularity is a point when a function takes an infinite value and is distinctive in nature. With respect to AI, it has been considered as a double edged sword. At one end, it makes life easier for humans but on the other hand, it also snatches away prospective employment opportunities.
AI has made inroads in the life of humans across various industries and personal usage as well. It has replaced multiple redundant functions which humans would not prefer doing it on a daily basis. With the rapid progress taking place, one would not want to place any limits on the wings of technology. However, let’s assume a situation whereby AI realises, humans should not be trusted on.
It may sound like a movie script, but how would the world be positioned if AI built its own global computer network without any human involvement? Also if Bitcoin was the network, which direction would the globe head towards?
It would be pandemonium, but this would pave the way for a Bitcoin dominated network controlling all the regular functions in the life of a human being. Every activity would be forced through a Bitcoin and the dependency on other modes of finances would perhaps vanish. Since this does not involve any human involvement, there would be scope for glitches and deliberate interference which may or may not be prevented.
In a real life scenario, such a situation is neither feasible nor human existence would permit something like this to happen but with the environment evolving with every passing second, such a scenario may actually take place. Perhaps, humans may require introspecting some of the benefits and drawbacks of technology and ensure to have a complete control on the existing situations.
