Jack Dorsey is the co-founder and CEO of the leading social media platform Twitter and Bitcoin payments service provider Square Inc. Dorsey is also known as a more significant Bitcoin advocate. He also revealed a few of his Bitcoin-related future plans at the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami. Moreover, he also announced the plans for a decentralized social platform, BlueSky, to replace Twitter. In a recent tweet, Jack Dorsey hinted that he might add Bitcoin’s Lightning Network (LN) sidechain on BlueSky or Twitter.

On Friday, Jack Dorsey responded to a question on Twitter hinting about the integration of Bitcoin’s Lightning Network. A user named “deyonte” on Twitter asked Dorsey to implement Lightning Network into BlueSky or Twitter. Following the tweet of the users, Dorsey replied to him that that soon it would be seen.

Dorey’s reply remained a mystery due to its vague intention. However, the remarks appeared to pretend that he might have confirmed that soon either BlueSky or Twitter or both the platforms will have Lightning Network.

What would such integration bring?

Bitcoin’s Lightning Network is a layer above the Bitcoin blockchain. The sidechain is built for faster transactions with low fees. The blockchain creates a user-generated channel that allows the user to send and receive payments.

Notably, it is yet unclear whether the new features could be added if the exchange integrates the LN. According to the news outlet CoinDesk, there are possibilities that the integration could bring the use of micropayments, for which a Twitter-enabled solution is created.

Twitter CEO remained a more significant BTC proponent

Jack Dorsey has remained an immense bitcoin advocate. In February, the CEO of Square Inc invested $50 million in the flagship cryptocurrency. Later, he also sold his first-ever tweet, Non-Fungible Token (NFT). Notably, he donated the proceeds for BTC development.

At the Bitcoin 2021 conference, few individuals among the audience mocked him due to privacy issues. A lady claimed that he didn’t have a right to talk there regarding BTC. and entitled him as the “King of Censorship.” However, following the scenario, Jack Dorsey revealed the plans of his BlueSky social media platform.

Furthermore, Last month, Dorsey also revealed that he plans to create a hardware wallet for Bitcoin. Square CEO also said that if the firm makes such a project, it will create it entirely as open-source software.
