Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey seems to have a strange love-hate relationship with Ethereum. On the one hand, Twitter released 140 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain; the Twitter CEO continues to reject the second biggest crypto coin as an investment.

Despite the social media platform engagements with Ethereum-based non fungible tokens (NFTs), Dorsey continues to reject the idea of buying into Ether (ETH)

Twitter releases 140 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain

On Wednesday, the social media giant announced a giveaway via Raible, a major NFT platform utilizing the Ethereum blockchain network for minting digital collectible tokens. However, there ends the story, and Twitter CEO is unflinchingly loyal to Bitcoin.

Just after the NFT release, Twitter user Packanimal suggested that it is only a matter of time before Jack Dorsey will invest in Ethereum. However, in reply, the Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has a curt “No” as the answer.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey criticized For his views

However, the crypto community did not take the curt two words of Jack Dorsey lightly and Cinneanhaim Ventures’ Adam Cochran criticizing Twitter CEO for “still being a BTC maxi.” Unfortunately, he did not end it here and continued his tirade against Jack. Calling the flip flop of the Twitter chief who prints Ethereum based NFTs on Rarible and then saying No to Ethereum as some mental gymnastics, Cochran added that Jack would not represent the U.S. in this year’s 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.

Jack Dorsey has always sworn his loyalty towards Bitcoin also is the co-founder and CEO of crypto-friendly digital payments firm Square. In 2019 he had tweeted that he only owned Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin 2021 conference, which happened in early June in Miami, saw once again swore his loyalty to Bitcoin. He said that Bitcoin changes everything. There is nothing that enables people more than Bitcoin.

What irks his skeptics is the oft-repeated claim by Dorsey that Bitcoin will be the single currency of the internet since at least 2018.

Dorsey’s remarks are significant because even the diehard fans of Bitcoin contend that Ether will surpass Bitcoin and become the number one cryptocurrency one day. CEO of crypto investment firm Galaxy Digital Mike Novogratz suggested that Ether has all the requisites for becoming the largest cryptocoin one day.

Jack Dorsey always said that the internet must have a native currency, and in all probability, it will be Bitcoin. The chief executive officer of Twitter Inc. and founder and CEO of Square Inc talked at Consensus, a blockchain and cryptocurrency conference in New York City.

The Twitter chief had expressed his desire to see a digital currency thrive way back in 2016. As the head of Square, he helped promote cryptocurrency, and in 2014 it started allowing merchants to accept Bitcoin. Since then, it has been introducing Bitcoin trading for almost all users of its Cash App.
