The cryptocurrency boom is still in its infancy, and it will take some more time before it blooms in its full glory. However, most experts believe that the level of trading will increase many folds in the coming year. So it is the analysis of research from blockchain-based derivatives trading platform CloseCross shows.
57% of the investors say crypto trade will increase
The research was carried out among professional investors across the globe. The investors together were responsible for USD380 billion in assets under management. 57% of the investors believed that the level of cryptocurrency trade would continue to increase the following year. 29% of the investors thought that the crypto trade would significantly rise, and 28 percent expected a slight increase.
However, market commentators have split opinions about the cryptocurrency market being in a bull run, or it will sink into depression and head into another so-called Crypto Winter bear run with prices tumbling.
One exciting outcome of the research was that just 21% of professional investors, including hedge funds, wealth managers, institutional investors, fund managers, and IFAs believe that trading levels will drop next year. Moreover, only 4 percent expect a dramatic drop.
High level of optimism for the crypto future market
Research by the U.K. ‘s financial regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, revealed that retail investors have a high level of optimism for the crypto future market. Today more than 2.3 million persons in the U.K. own cryptocurrencies, and 53% of crypto users have a positive experience.
CloseCross, in its research, found that most investors are more optimistic about ether than bitcoin.51% expected the price of Ethereum to increase over the next year. Furthermore, 18% of the investors believe that there will be a dramatic increase in the values of Ethereum. Over 41% of the investors believe that the value of Bitcoin will increase in the coming months, while 19% forecast a dramatic increase in Bitcoin values.
36% of investors believe that Bitcoin’s price will fall over the next year, while 16% forecast a dramatic fall in Bitcoin values. Thirty-two percent believe Ethereum will see prices drop, with 10 percent forecasting dramatic decreases.
CloseCross CEO Vaibhav Kadikar said that regardless of the wild volatility of cryptocurrencies in recent times, experienced investors expect the trading levels of cryptocurrencies to increase during 2022. However, they have different views about the performance of individual cryptocurrencies.
Kakar added that at CloseCross, traders predict the price stability of Ethereum and Bitcoin. It indicated that the trading community does not seem to be worried about any downward price pressures and the bears are still not at play.
