A Boston Man Forfeit 59 Bitcoin Worth $2.3 Million To Massachusetts Law Enforcement

  • A Boston Herald report reveals that a Brockton Man, Binh Thanh Le, is being forced to forfeit 59 bitcoin worth $2.3 million by Massachusetts law enforcement after he was caught with Xanax, ecstasy, and ketamine.
  • On Saturday, Massachusetts The U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins announced that Le would be sentenced to eight years while his Bitcoins are under law enforcement.

59 Bitcoin And $114K Cash Forfeits From Boston Man

As per the reports from Boston Herald, Binh Thanh Le, a man from Brockton aged 25, is sentenced to eight years in prison by Massachusetts law enforcement. Further, the report notes that Le has sold Xanax, ecstasy, and ketamine, and huge quantities of these drugs and 59 bitcoin, and roughly $114K in cash, are seized from him. 

In 2019, when Le was busted, he was just 22 years old. Massachusetts law enforcement caught him with 44 pounds of MDMA (ecstasy), 10,000 Xanax pills, and around 15 pounds of anaesthesia ketamine. The Boston Herald report authored by Flint McColgan further revealed that at the time of settlement, Le sold his 2018 BMW M3 worth $66.5K for $42.3K.

On Saturday, Rachael Rollins, Massachusetts U.S. Attorney, declared that Le would be sentenced to eight years, and now the law enforcement have his Bitcoins. Rollins then warns the bad actors in the industry and says this is a straightforward message to Dark Web criminals that the federal government will be overseeing the activities in this space. “We will find you, and you will be held accountable,” added Rollins. 

The U.S attorney did not forget to show gratitude to his law enforcement colleagues and said, “there is one less cybercriminal hiding in the shadows.”

The acquisition was followed by Dream Market willingly shut down of operations, and a huge number of darknet market users originating from Dream Market flocked to WSM. A sting operation that took place at a hotel in Norwood, was how Le busted and his Bitcoins were seized.

Le’s arrest was followed by the exit scamming acquisition on the Wall Street Market (WSM) darknet team. 

Two other Brockton men named Steven McCall and Allante Pires were also arrested with Le. According to McColgan’s report, the alleged duo was not found to be guilty of charges against them. In addition, the report revealed that the darknet team used Lego boxes for packaging products. It consists of bags of pure MDMA (ecstasy), otherwise known as Molly.
