There is a constant and fearsome search by investors for the next great thing to put money into and thus make money from. Cryptocurrency’s rapid rise in 2021 drew the attention of millions of people and attracted billions of dollars.

More than 18,000 cryptocurrencies are currently listed on CoinMarketCap, one of the most prominent listing platforms in the market. New cryptocurrencies appear every month and the best of those attract millions to their presales. FIREPIN (FRPN) is one of the most notable newcomers to the crypto-sphere.

Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) in 2021

Last year, meme coins were one of the most popular types of cryptocurrency. These coins are often based on jokes or memes that have been shared on social media or the internet.

The first meme coin was Dogecoin (DOGE); a joke among software developers in 2013 quickly turned into a serious endeavour. However, it was not until 2021 that it really began to take off. When it peaked at $0.7374 in May of 2021, it was 15000% up from the beginning of the year.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) is the second-biggest meme coin and the second-biggest dog-themed coin. It launched in 2020 and gave itself the name “DOGE-Killer.”

Despite the fact that it did not kill DOGE, it did outperform it in terms of gains. SHIB hit an all-time high of $0.00008845, a gain of more than 70,000,000%, in October 2021.

Bouncing Back From a Tough Start to 2022

Despite last year’s triumphs for both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, 2022 did not get off to a good start. In January, DOGE plunged 22% and SHIB fell 35%.

February was slightly better for the proponents of these two meme coins, but March has once again seen a small dip so far. SHIB, in particular, has fallen 23% since the turn of the month. Both meme coins were knocking on the door of the top 10 but are now a fair way off, in 13th and 15th place respectively.

FIREPIN (FRPN) Sets The Presale World Ablaze

FIREPIN (FRPN) could well be a viable alternative to DOGE and SHIB. It is a decentralised protocol backed by its Metaverse DAO. FRPN will be launched on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and FIREPIN will use the Algorithmic Reserve Currency mechanism to ensure the token’s stability. FIREPIN is focused on the long term.

Shiba Inu exemplifies the value of being an early adopter of a cryptocurrency you believe in. Despite a significant drop at the start of the year, a $10 investment in SHIB in January 2021 would now still be worth an incredible $1.8 million. With the increased functionality that comes with FIREPIN (FRPN), it’s possible that this new token may follow in the footsteps of 2021’s most popular coins.

If the first month of its presale is anything to go by, this could certainly be the case. Early investors have already seen their money triple, quadruple, and quintuple. Considering that FRPN can only increase in value until its launch in April, it has to be considered a very promising investment opportunity.
