There seems to be another upcoming fascinating experience for Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) fans as Yuga Labs, its creators have signified its new BAYC metaverse via Twitter.
Yuga Labs teased the new Bored Ape Yacht Club metaverse by tweeting a trailer and highlighting, see you on the other side in April, and wrote powered by ApeCoin.
The short trailer opens up with the project’s Ape fishing by a stretch of water who feels a tug on his rod and hoists the catch, and witnesses a bottle with the label Drink Me. When he does so, he finds himself abducted by a flying visit.
The video further refers to other Non-Fungible Token collections like Mutant Ape Yacht Club, CryptoPunks, Cool Cats, Meebits, World of women, CryptoToadz, and Nouns.
There has been a curiosity among the BAYC community as to where Yuga Labs is exactly planning to take the project. Although there are not many details provided for what exactly would be on the other side. But given the various announcements, it somewhat signifies a three-dimensional gaming experience powered by Animoca Brands.
Last Thursday, ApeCoin was launched by ApeCoin DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that is officially affiliated with the BAYC franchise. It is a token that Bored and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (BAYC and MAYC) holders can claim. Though ApeCoin DAO is not equal to Yuga Labs or BAYC project because the latter two are centralized entities.
If we talk about the ApeCoin DAO’s Board, it consists of several popular names from the crypto sector like Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and FTX’s Army Wu. Both of whom would serve for a period of six months and then the token’s holders would elect new members for one year term.
On the same day as the launch of ApeCoin, The Sandbox developer Animoca Brands, highlighted via Twitter that they are entering the iBAYC universe. According to the tweet, Animoca is excited to announce that they will be adopting ApeCoin for a secret project that they have been developing with the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Concepts like NFTs and Metaverse are growing by leaps and bounds lately and now this announcement by the BAYC project might bring enhanced and fascinating experience for the fans. It is to look forward to how the project evolves with the metaverse.
