Besides being bullish on digital assets like Bitcoin, Garry Kasparov also highlights that there are merits in NFTs. Late last year, the chess player dropped a series of 32 NFTs that showcase iconic moments from his life in partnership with 1Kind. The collection represented his 1985 match that crowned him as the youngest world chess champion, the epic battle against International Business Machines’ artificial intelligence-powered “Deep Blue” and speeches against totalitarianism.
Kasparov cited that he believes that supporting cryptocurrency is a significant part of his contribution to the future of humanity.

In an interview with CoinDesk, Garry Kasparov elaborated why digital assets are significant. As cryptocurrencies are a controversial thing, as it helps illicit actors, still humans have a monopoly for evil. Kasparov explains that cryptocurrencies are a tool and it could benefit some hackers and scammers, but the balance is so much in favor of progress. Garry also underscored that the crypto ecosystem is like the dot-com bubble and 99.9% of the projects in the industry would soon be gone. However, those who will survive in the sphere, will potentially become the Googles of the world.
Crypto helps protect the fortune of hard-earned money
Garry Kasparov has noted that nations like America and Europe are printing trillions of dollars. Being an American tax-payer he understands the requirement for a new infrastructure, because the government has free hand to his taxes. And he believes that the government should not devalue his hard-earned fortune.
Indeed, crypto is one such medium that offers an opportunity to fight back and protect his hard-earned fortune.
Garry believes that Bitcoin is an online gold, and other crypto assets are the way to the future. Although he is not a financial player, he claims that he won’t be surprised if by the next decade these assets disrupts the USD.
