  • The NFT industry has become quite significant among digital artists, creators and celebs, but nonetheless, it also involves fraudulent attacks.
  • Seth Green is one of the latest names to get into the NFTs sector, and he took to his Twitter recently to inform that he has been phished.
  • The NFTs he lost were from the popular collections of BAYC, MAYC and Doodles.

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are an industry that has lately attracted a lot of frenzy. Not only digital artists and creators but prominent celebrities are also associated with NFTs.

And one of the latest significant names that got into the space is Seth Green, but it seems like he witnessed the foggy side quite soon. The US actor, writer, producer and director recently informed via Twitter that he had become a victim of a phishing attack and witnessed a theft of four NFTs which OpenSea later flagged.

He further warned his 1.4 Million follower base not to buy or sell those particular NFTs while he was resolving the situation. His tweet also showed the prices those NFTs were trading at the time.

The NFT industry has a lot of popular entities who are involved with it, like rapper Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Neymar, Serena Williams, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Avenged Sevenfold, etc. Last year, the industry gained much traction when many new NFT projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), etc., emerged.

And Seth Green is among one of them, and the NFT pictures that the actor posted with the Tweet are from popular projects like BAYC, Doodles, and MAYC.

And all four of them are pointed out by OpenSea, the significant NFT marketplace, as they highlighted which are reported for suspicious activity.

These attacks are common when the attacker sends a fraudulent message which looks like a legit one and coaxes the victim into clicking on it, who later ends up disclosing some personal details. And the unethical actor manages to breach his phone or PC.
