Recently bitcoin miner industry leader announced its production and operation update for May month of 2022

CEO of Riot Blockchain, Jason Les said that the bitcoin mining firm continues to make progress during May on its Whinstone Facility’s ongoing expansion in Rockdale, TX. He further stated proudly that the first immersion building of the facility dubbed as Building F contained approx 23,000 S19 series miners. About 7,000 miners are staged in cooling tanks filled with immersion and they are expected to get their pending installation deployed with the final requisite components.

After the completion of these and other staged miner’s deployment, the hash rate capacity is anticipated to increase upto 5.4 EH/s. On top of that the company is initiating a refurbishing project for their S17 Pro Antiminers in order to improve overall hash rate and efficiency. Such enhancements have been made possible after improving the operating environment that was facilitated by their immersion cooling technology.

During the refurbishing process, a fully depreciated fleet of Riot Blockchain consisting of 4,000 S17 Pro Antimers will be decommissioned temporarily. After that, those 4,000 miners will not be counted in the figure of deployed fleet along with this their generated corresponding hashrate of 225 PH/s will also not be counter under their hash rate capacity figure.

Riot has received 1,701 additional new S19j Pro Antiminers since its month’s update, out of which about 1.086 S19j Pros have been deployed in its immersion cooled building along with 7,855 additional miners that were staged for deployment. Following the deployment target of staged miners, Riot Blockchain expected a hash rate capacity of approx 5.4 EH/s from their total 51,313 deployed miners.

During last month, Whinstone Facility in Rockdale, Texas continued to progress at the 400 megawatt infrastructure expansion project of Riot Blockchain. The construction of exhaust louvers and the structure for Building D is almost complete now and intake louvers’ installation for air cooling is soon to commence. Further completions of the project include the installation of all types of voltage switchgear both low and medium for Building D.
