Gucci Welcomes the Crypto Nerds at Storefronts
The Italian fashion house has decided to allow the crypto nerds and metaverse fans to purchase products through ApeCoins. Buyers can buy from all the product-lines including clothing, accessories, ready-to-wear, footwear, and so on. Gucci made the announcement public this Monday with all the excitement around.
Gucci customers and buyers across the U.S. will now have the freedom to buy using ApeCoin from any of the Gucci stores. The payment channel for transacting via ApeCoin tokens will be provided by BitPay. BitPay is a financial firm who helped some renowned industrial names such as AMC Theaters.
Even when the market is going through a critical downfall many industries and companies have made an optimistic move in the crypto market. Gucci is now one of those companies. Gucci may have entered the metaverse market for the first time, but they have a decent record with the crypto industry. In February 2022, Gucci introduced ‘SUPERGUCCI’ NFT collaborating with SUPERELASTIC. Later to this, Gucci launched the NFT – ‘Gucci Grail’ NFT collection targeting the NFT project developers such as BAYC.

The Italian Breakthrough
Earlier in May this year, the clothing giant announced plans of accepting 12 different cryptocurrencies in stores across North America. The company accepted Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin Cash, Wrapped Bitcoin, Litecoin, Shiba Inu, and Dogecoin. Gucci, the clothing and accessories giant, seems to have a delighted heart from the ApeCoin users. BAYC collectors supported the company with whole heart welcoming the brand in the metaverse ecosystem.
