New Web3 Platform To Make Its Debut Soon
The Artists Rights Society (ARS), a company assisting the artists in licensing and copywriting, will launch its latest Web3 platform dubbed Arsnl. It will begin with an NFT collection by Frank Stella. He is popular for his artworks from the 50s and 60s, which is considered by people as the predecessor of the Minimalist art movement.
The 86-year old Frank Stella has utilized technology for 3-D artworks before, which he used to create complicated and large scale sculptural artworks. As per ARS vice president and Arsnl founder, Katarina Feder, ‘non-fungible tokens are the natural next step’ for the legendary artist. Theodore Feder, father of the vice president, founded the organization back in 1987, and Frank Stella remains a longtime member of the company.
Artists Rights Society has helped more than 100,000 artists with respect to intellectual rights. The artist is a committed person who has worked in the favor of artists resale rights, doing campaigns for American Royalties Too (ART) Act along with Theodore Feder, and have offered education to the law students regarding the concept.
What’s in The Limited Edition NFT Collection
The Frank Stella NFT collectibles come with an interesting perk: instructions to recreate the 3D sculpture of the artist’s work. Only the owners of the token will receive the benefits. The artist said that there will be infinite reproducibility. He agreed to work with Arsnl as he thinks that it can uniquely serve the artists.
In contrast to other NFT platforms, Arsnl will charge a high fee to its users. Upon primary NFT sales, it will charge a whopping one time fee of 25%. Which is a lot in comparison to others like SuperRare or OpenSea, which charges from 2.5% to 15% fee.
Arsnl have set the resale royalties at 10%, making it consistent in contrast to what several marketplaces offer. However, the organization stated in a press release that it will cover the cost of many aspects such as licensing, NFT minting, and more.
The NFT sector is a great place for the artists if they are looking to monetize their artworks. An artist Beeple sold is everydays NFT for a colossal amount of 69 Million USD back in 2021.
