Collab of Sega, Double jump.tokyo and Oasys
On September 27, 2022 the Web3 game developer, double jump.tokyo announced that “doublejump_en is thrilled to announce that we have secured the license from SEGA_OFFICIAL to develop a blockchain game based on the theme of “Sangokushi” (Three Kingdoms)”.
In this blockchain based game, the gaming developer is planning to use the IF of Sega Corporation, “Sangokushi Taisen.” The game will have incredible Japanese artwork that the players can enjoy while playing, as stated by the CEO of double jump.tokyo, Hironobu Ueno.
He further added that “We are honored to be a pioneering partner in building a new generation of games with SEGA on the blockchain. Our efforts with Oasys are focused solely on creating the most user-centric gaming experiences, and working with our partners to revolutionize the world of gaming.”
While Oasys also shared the Tweet regarding the same.
The Director of Oasys, Daiki Moriyama also added that “Our ambition is to lead the mass adoption of blockchain games by providing players and developers alike with a safe, secure and stable environment in which they can comfortably play and create the games of the future, with all the familiar gaming brands that they have always known and are accustomed with.”
It must be noted that the game will be licensed by SEGA and developed and operated by Japanese blockchain game developer double jump.tokyo. However, the game is expected to be released on Oasys’ Layer2 blockchain — HOME verse.
