Charles Hoskinson Adopting a Different Strategy

The US authorities has imposed restrictions on the cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash. The defence put out for this was that criminals used it as a tactic to hide the source of their revenue. Most notably, South Korean hackers have used it recently to get into systems and steal millions of dollars. It was recently revealed that the Dutch police had detained a guy who was thought to be one of Tornado Cash’s creators. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, is one of many who has spoken out in support of the devs as the case progresses.

Regarding the approval of Tornado Cash, there have been conflicting reactions. While some people praised the move, others saw it as a clear indication that the government was moving against all bitcoin exchanges. Most investors in the field have been cautious due to potential future effects on decentralized financial systems. Charles Hoskinson, meanwhile, has adopted a different strategy and has instead shown support for the developers. The inventor of Cardano claims that although developers may produce code, they sometimes have little influence over what others do with it once it has been published when the code is open source.

Writer of the Atomic Book isn’t Responsible for Violence

He suggested that the code for the mixer was originally written by the Tornado Cash developers, and then it was utilized for malicious purposes by others. He made the analogy that it was similar to someone penning a book on how to produce cyanide or how to build a bomb. The protocol’s engineers being treated in this manner particularly incensed the inventor of Cardano, it seems.

He said that the convention in developer knowledge that the company have is that when Cardano creates code, it’s an expression. It’s like authoring a book as long as the corporation doesn’t participate in the execution or intended usage of that code. They merely developed the code that could potentially be utilized in this fashion.
