Why Would the CIA Go After Balancer Labs Co-Founder?
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has established itself as a ‘Big Bad Boy’ during several occasions, considering their ‘ghost protocols.’ Recently, a swarm of Twitter posts started to link The Company with the death of Nikolai Mushegian, Balancer Labs and MakerDAO co-founder in Puerto Rico. He was reportedly drowned and his body was washed away by the waves on the shores.
Nikolai wasn’t a popular name among the crypto community as he rarely interacted with users on social media networks. But he did post occasionally on Twitter. He mentioned Israel’s Mossad alongside the CIA in one of his last Tweets claiming that the agencies may frame his death. He also claimed that his girlfriend was a secret agent working for one of the organizations.
The Company’s Controversial Past
The CIA has a controversial past following their alleged involvements in some of the infamous events globally. Many claims that the agency has violated human rights on several occasions. They’ve reportedly trained groups and organizations in the past for killings, assassinations, overthrowing governments and more.
The Company allegedly conducted covert ops hidden from US Congress. In 2009, the government labeled a CIA covert ‘very serious’ terminated the operation eventually. Another allegation against the organization remains the Wikipedia editing in 2007. According to the reports, CIA computers were used in this event where a group of people edited Wikipedia articles including the Iraq War article written in 2003.
CIA’s biggest controversial involvement to this date remains the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy aka JFK, 35th President of USA. It was one of the events that shook the whole world. But why would the CIA be inclined to assassinate a President? Many claim that it was an act of revenge against him. During his tenure, JFK took several actions against The Company.
During the CIA’s Bay of Pigs invasion in 1916, he refused to send air support to the troops. Also, he fired several agents from the company. Though it is still a mystery who was behind the trigger, Harvey Lee Oswald or CIA. Recently, Iran imposed sanctions on the agency., According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, individuals associated with CIA and US military were involved in promoting violence and terrorism in the nation.
Although the organization has a controversial past, the majority of them were never proven true and remained a mystery. It is still unclear whether Nikolai Mushegian was involved in trafficking or not, but his Tweet surely has created a room for a new controversy to take place.
