  • A user found Bitcoin Whitepaper in his Apple macOS and confirmed it was buried deep inside.
  • Apple and Bitcoin are trading regularly, indicating no impact of the instance.

Ever since the news of the Bitcoin Whitepaper in Apple’s macOS devices surfaced, an official acceptance from the company stays awaited. Though there was an update or confirmation over the same, Apple was accused of breaching copyright policy. Not so surprisingly, the accusation came from self-proclaimed Bitcoin creator “Satoshi Nakamoto,” Craig Wright.

The crypto community was surprised by Apple Macbooks with modern macOS operating systems having Bitcoin Whitepaper buried in them. When a Twitter user asked Wright if Apple was in “breach of copyright” given the instance, he responded with a “yes.”

Australian computer scientist and businessman Craig Wright is known for claiming his right to the Bitcoin (BTC) network. In 2015, an article claimed that Wright was Satoshi Nakamoto, citing several sources and his emails. The computer scientist later agreed to the claim admitting he was involved in the creation of Bitcoin.

Initially, the claim got support from some community members, including an American computer scientist who was also part of Bitcoin development, Gavin Andresen. He supported the claim of Wright as Satoshi, but later in 2021, he withdrew his statement and said it was a mistake. In addition, a majority of critics also did not take the claim.

However, this did not deter Wright from his stance, who continued to stick to his assertion. There were many instances where he sued entities for any action related to Bitcoin, often seen as an effort to re-asserting his claim. Though he agrees Apple might breach copyright, legal action remains unlikely due to the tech giant’s given law expertise.

TheCoinRepublic reported earlier of Bitcoin Whitepaper’s existence inside the macOS operating systems launched after 2018. American technologist Andy Biao revealed this instance of his experiencing the whitepaper in his MacBook. Though he was not looking for it, it just appeared co-incidentally.

Biao wrote in his blog, “While fixing my printer today, I discovered that a PDF copy of Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoin whitepaper shipped with every copy of macOS since Mojave in 2018.”

Though the whitepaper links Bitcoin and Apple, there are no official ties between both. Not even the company officially announced any investment made in the top cryptocurrency or holding any of it.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) stock is trading at 164.66 USD after a slight 0.55% increase in a day. While Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at 27,861 USD after breaking its recent support level of 28,000 USD.
