Twitter Partnered with eToro to Offer Crypto and Stock Trading

  • Twitter plans to expand its involvement in the financial market. 

Twitter, the social media giant, partnered with eToro, a social trading company, to offer its users a new experience of accessing related to cryptocurrency and stock. The feature will allow users to trade cryptocurrency within the platform. 

In an exclusive interview with CNBC, the company announced that from April 13, a new feature of viewing market charts on an expanded range of financial instruments and buying and selling stock and other assets using eToro.  

According to some data– Twitter will offer data as TradingView does. 

The charts featured on Twitter will be linked through TradingView, as Twitter uses application programming interface. 

The spokesperson of eToro said that Twitter’s collaboration with trading platforms would help the social media giant to expand to cover far more instruments and asset classes. 

  • On Twitter, users need to click the option view on eToro. 
  • After clicking, the user will be directly redirected to a trading platform where the user can easily buy and sell digital assets, stock, and more. 

The Chief Executive Officer of eToro, Yoni Assia, mentioned in the interview, “As we grew remarkably over the past three years, we have seen more and more of our users interact on Twitter and educate themselves about the markets.” 

Yoni praised Twitter and eToro collaboration stating the finest quality and real-time content on financial analysis of companies. She added that the partnership would help both companies to reach more audiences and connect better. 

Musk acquired Twitter for $44 Billion in October 2022, and ever since he took over as CEO, he has fired more than 80% of Twitter employees. According to Musk’s recent interview, there are only 1500 employees actively working for Twitter.   

Because of Elon Musk’s series of decisions over time, Twitter lost its majority of advertisers, but in the last interview, Musk said ‘almost’ all investors returned to the application excluding Stellantis and Volkswagen the companies have no plans to return to Twitter. 

According to TheCoinRepublic the old logo of Twitter featured a bluebird that symbolizes freedom and hope, with the blue color associated with freedom and unity being changed by the Twitter community. The logo of Dogecoin replaced the old blue bird of Twitter.
