SNPS Stock Lost $3.93; Semiconductor Market on Boom?

Synopsys Inc (Nasdaq: SNPS) stock lost $3.93 in the June 15 trading session; the stock opened trading at $444.63 after lowest trading at $440.85 it hit a high of $451.49 and closed trading at $446.05.

Earlier in the June 13 trading session, SNPS stock price showed a positive movement and gained $3.94 after hitting a high of $451.95 . In weekly trading sessions, SNPS stock rose 0.47%, and the monthly trading session reflected an impressive upper movement of 21.17%.

SNPS Stock has been continuously in the upper movement for the last year; in the YTD trading session, Synopsys is trading 38.10% in the positive trend; in the half-yearly trading sessions the company’s stock rose 34.64%.

According to technical indicators, it is a perfect time to buy SNPS stocks. Analysts also believe that the ongoing movement of Synopsys stock reflects an ideal time to make more purchases.

From 152.16 Million shares, around 151.228 Million of SNPS Stock are free, and 931.98k are free floating. The overall market capitalization of Synopsys, Inc is $67.871 Billion.

SNPS shocked analysts and investors by reporting equal revenue, as the estimated amount in Q1 2023 predicted revenue was $1.36 Billion, which is also the reported amount. 

In Q2 2023, Synopsys Inc reported extra revenue compared to the estimated figures; as per analysts, SNPS was supposed to report $1.38 Billion, but the reported revenue was $1.39 Billion. 

Synopsys gathers 90.83% of its revenue from Semiconductors & System Design, and the remaining 9.17 % is generated from Software Integrity. China, the United States, South Korea, and Europe are significant revenue-generating regions. 

In the financial year 2022 company’s net income was $272.91 Million, and the overall profit margin was 19.49%. The profit and revenue conversion include 76% gross profit, Ebitda of 30%, Ebit of 24%, and net income of 19%.

Some of the major institutional shareholders of Synopsys are Vanguard Group Inc, Blackrock Inc, State Street Corp, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Geode Capital Management, Llc, T- Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc, Norges Bank, Invesco Ltd. 

Synopsys Inc. has raised funding in two different funding rounds and is majorly financed by Green Pine Capital Partners and New Enterprise Associates. According to Crunchbase, Synopsys has invested in more than 20 companies, including OXi Technology, CiraNova, Arteris, Prover Technology, AWR Corporation, Inovys, and Tharas Systems, among a few others. 

Since May 4, 2023, Synopsys has acquired 86 organizations WhiteHat Security, Juniper Networks, Concertio, BISTel, Code Dx, MoreThanIP GmbH, Moortec Semiconductor, Qualtera, and Terrain EDA are significant acquisitions. 

On May 4, 2023, Synopsys finalized a deal to acquire Silicon Frontline Technology for an undisclosed amount.
