The roots of NFTs and Metaverse hit the gaming zone in an extraordinary way, taking the gaming era to the next level. Involvement of PUBG game creator Krafton Studio with NFT space and Metaverse is definitely going to offer something ultimate to gaming enthusiasts. Let’s explore the treasure of Overdare to find out something classic.

What Makes the Game More Classic and Immersive?

South Korean game studio Krafton came up with some good news for gaming enthusiasts. The studio is all set to launch its NFT-driven Metaverse game ‘Overdare’, previously known as Project Migaloo. Surprisingly, the company developed its own blockchain named ‘Settlus’ for this particular game.

Settlus is a purpose-built network created using the Cosmos Software Development Kit (SDK) and offers a transparent settlement system for the creator economy. The blockchain network is all set to revolutionize NFT-inspired gaming, reshaping gaming and the Metaverse. Addressing the features of Overdare, the game is to offer a similar resemblance to the mobile game platform Roblox, powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5. Overdare is an open-world Metaverse game developed over the Settlus blockchain. Created using generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, the game platform will help gamers design their own shooter games, action Role-playing Games (RPGs), and many more. Live chat with the players and the creation of customized avatars also make the platform classic and immersive.

The extraordinary potential of the game to craft its own games, characters, and rare gaming items, offers a limitless experience to gamers. It is not just a game, it is a platform to boost social interaction between communities.

The project is going to be launched under the collaboration with Naver Z, an Augmented Reality (AR) technology company. 85% stake in the Overdare game is retained by Krafton Studio whereas the remaining is under the Naver Z holding. The game works on the concept of create-to-earn game economy, allowing users to buy and sell the Non-fungible tokens (NFTs). One of the main reasons for the blending of the NFT concept in the game is to offer transparent and secure transactions.

Launching Details

The news to earn funds in Coinbase and Circle’s US dollar-backed stablecoin, USDC, using the Settlus blockchain, just attracted gamers towards the new launch. The South Korean gaming studio announced the soft launch of Overdare in December and is expected to release the full version sometime between January and July 2024. In addition to this, the game is all set to offer transparent and secure services in order to uplift the gaming experience of users. Overdare is an innovative step in the evolution of gaming, blockchain technology, blended creativity, and the metaverse.
