The introduction of ChatGPT to the world is considered one of the most revolutionary mechanics of OpenAI. With innovative products and services, mainly using AI, OpenAI sustained a strong, recognized, and reputed image in the commercial world. Dall-E 2, Dall-E 3, ChatGPT, OpenAI Five, GPTBot, and some of the most popular and recent innovations of OpenAI. But, this is not the end, the company is planning something bigger and valuable.

What OpenAI is Planning?

OpenAI, an American Artificial Intelligence (AI) is operating with a mission to ensure the efficient use of AI by all humanity and succeed in the plan to an extent. The company sustained its strong position in the market with its wide range of products and is all set to add a new one. This time, the plan is to introduce the world with a 99% accuracy AI-image detection tool.

Images generated using AI tools appear so realistic that analyzing their source of generation becomes challenging. Detecting images generated by AI technology or real images becomes quite difficult. However, these tools showcase a high extent of creativity but also result in a lack of accuracy and ethical implications.

To resolve such issues, OpenAI promised to offer a new solution that could help individuals detect AI-generated images with a high level of accuracy.  On Wednesday, a report published by Bloomberg, a platform offering market news, analysis, and data, ensured the same.

“The tool has the potential to detect 99% accuracy”, stated the OpenAI company’s chief technology officer Mira Maruti.

How Well is the Prime Tool Going to Perform?

The year 2023 can be said to be a year of innovations as AI companies including Midjourney, OpenAI, Anthropic, and others actively used AI technology. These firms added users to generate convincing images, fake text, and audio effortlessly, generating humorous and productive outcomes.

As technology has both a positive and negative phase, it becomes essential to detect AI-generated content, images, and other stuff. OpenAI is very confident about the product, promising 99% accuracy in detecting AI-generated images.  The tool is in the testing phase now, with no specific release date confirmed. Also, OpenAI’s previous attempt to develop such tools that could detect AI-generated content was unsuccessful and found unreliable.

On October 17, a big update came from OpenAI’s office. The update was related to reintroducing the “Browse with Bing” feature. The feature was first introduced by OpenAI, earlier this year, but was shelved in June confirming that ChatGPT could display paywalled content.

Conclusion

OpenAI, a firm behind the AI revolutionary product ChatGPT is all prepared to launch its new product. This time the company is going to resolve the issue associated with AI-generated images. The new tool will help users detect AI-generated images with a high level of accuracy.
