Behind the success of every industry, there are certain influential people who make it possible. They could be innovators, leaders, or even ardent supporters. It’s not what they do, it’s their belief in the concept that drives them. They take the lead and tell the world about a pioneering idea that could transform the world.

The Story of the Web3 Propagator

Jibrial Muhammad is one of those people who’s trying to do the same for Web3 technology. He is an entrepreneur, designer, public speaker, and a key figure in the current Web3 movement. Also known as 19Keys, he started his career in the fashion industry. After completing this degree from Western State University, he began working in 2012.

Jibrial was always focused on attaining success with skill and performance. Soon after joining the fashion industry, he learned Mandarin to enhance and expand his clientele. After 4 years of hard work, 19Keys was able to take the next big step in this career. In 2016, he founded his own clothing line called Musahill.

His inclination towards technology soon became a part of this core job. In 2019, he created a clothing line that could protect wearers against 5G and cellphone radiation. Soon after that event, he came across decentralized technologies and Web3 tools. It didn’t take very long for Jibrial to develop a fondness for the world of blockchain.

He started speaking publicly on Web3 technologies and relevant solutions in the following years. In 2022, he founded Block World Order (BWO), a platform that guides people about the Web3 technology. He spent the same year educating people on Web3 through a series of podcasts and global tours.

Jibrial talked about AI, the adoption of blockchain, and opportunities emerging out of the Web3 domain. He delivered notable speeches at venues like Center Stage Theater, Royal Albert Hall, and the Harold Washington Cultural Center. Through BWO, he encouraged the usage of Web3 and its financial empowerment.

What makes 19Keys or Jibrial instrumental is his approach towards this technology. Instead of speaking about the tech and its impact, he focuses on users preparing themselves for it. He pointed out the mental and spiritual influence of Web 3.0 on people’s lives. The tech enthusiast has highlighted that this new form of internet is useful for marginalized communities too.

In 2023, 19Keys was seen taking his campaign ahead with more events and programs. He said  in a social media post that 2023 would be a year of executors. Moreover, he emphasized the role that social media plays in popularizing groundbreaking technologies. Apart from blockchain-based solutions, he often talks about the growing impact of AI.

Things to Know About Web3.0 Technology

In simple words, Web 3.0 or Web3 is a decentralized form of the Internet. This means that it is not controlled by a single company or the government. Instead, it is managed by a group of individuals just like the blockchain. In this case, the users get full liberty of accessing any sort of information they want. They also don’t have to worry about sharing their private information with third parties without prior authorization.

The concept was introduced by Ethereum’s co-founder Gavin Wood in 2014. However, it took a while for crypto users to wrap their heads around it. In 2021, some big venture capital firms started taking interest in Web3-based projects. While it impressed many with its decentralized structure, Web3 has also attracted many critics.

These critics point out that the blockchain-based web is worse as it gives control to a select group of individuals. In fact, big personalities from the tech world like Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey have criticized it. According to them, Web 3.0 is just a fad that will fizz out in some time.

Despite the criticism, Web 3.0 seems to be evolving on many fronts. To understand its future, it’s better to know its history. Web 1.0 emerged around 1989 when the internet offered static pages to users. This phase continued till 2004 and this year is known for the drastic entry of content producers. The subsequent version which is called Web 2.0 is the version that the world is using right now.

Web 3.0 introduced a digression from Tim Berners-Lee’s concept of the Semantic Web. That’s because the new version used blockchain instead of the mechanism that operated the first two generations. Since it is decentralized, the 3rd generation version supports many blockchain-based solutions. The network is compatible with various cryptos, non-fungible tokens, and some other DeFi services.

Conclusion

For apparent reasons, Web 3.0 receives support from the growing crypto community. Nevertheless, its mainstream adoption will depend on several factors. So far, its use-cases have been limited to the digital asset users. Like crypto, Web 3.0 also has concerns regarding security, scalability, and interoperability. So, only time will tell if Web 3.0 can have a significant impact on the world or not.
