Metaverse, the next evolution in social connection, strengthened its team and again welcomed Nissan Motor Corporation to enhance customer experience.

On March 7, 2024, Nissan Motor Co. made a new move in the Metaverse universe by launching its latest tool for enhanced customer experience. “Heritage Cars & Safe Drive Studio” was launched by Nissam in the Metaverse to provide a virtual reality experience and meet customers’ changing needs.

New history and safety-themed Metaverse

March 7, 2024, became one of the most crucial days in Nissan’s journey as the corporation launched its latest tool, “Heritage Cars & Safe Drive Studio,” in the virtual land. The tool was launched on the occasion of Nissan’s 90th anniversary year journey and illustrates virtual experience with an emphasis on history and safety.

According to the Automobile manufacturer, the launch blends virtual experience with car history and driver education and is supposed to enhance customer experience. The new tool will work as a bridge between the past and present.

This time, the Automobile manufacturer showcased three of Nissan’s legendary models: Silvia Q’s S13, Skyline 2000GTX-E, and a 1950s American Dreamscape.

With Silvia Q’s S13, individuals can discover how pedestrian clothing colors influence drivers’ attention. Visitors can learn about the real-world effects of pedestrian clothing colors and admire the model’s beauty.

Skyline 2000GTX-E is another model used by Nissan to make visitors aware of multitasking and driving. The exhibition offers a mini-game representing how a single second can change a beautiful journey in a big disaster.

Nissan also used its 1950s American Dreamscape car model in Heritage Cars & Safe Drive Studio, which takes back to the 50s and 60s. The exhibition offers a complete dinner and drive-in theater setting, allowing participants to combine nostalgia with education. It will be accountable for teaching lessons from the past.

The new experience is accessible on VRChat for Meta Quest.

Nissan and Metaverse

The launch of “Heritage Cars & Safe Drive Studio” isn’t Nissan’s first move into the virtual world; the company has been paving the way since 2022.

The automobile manufacturer launched the Nissan Sakura, a Japan-based electric mini vehicle in the virtual world. All VRChat users across the globe could explore the virtual test drive while enjoying Japanese tea and sweets.

In January 2023, the company created a virtual reality campaign for the introduction of all the new electric Ariya and involved five local artists in the campaign. Additionally, users were taken to the virtual land through Nissan Electrified Lab, where they could interact with the virtual model of the Ariya.

The company also expanded its roots in Italy and announced the e-POWER Metaverse on Decentraland. It allowed individuals to explore the new engine’s capabilities and the unique features of Nissan Qashqai.

Metaverse is the next expansion in social connection and the successor to the mobile internet. Just like the internet, the virtual space helps individuals connect with others without being physically present in the same place. The Sandbox is one of the best examples of a virtual reality that lets users play in and build virtual globes.
