- Ripple News: XRPL node operators are being told to update before the new amendment starts working.
- Ripple-linked wallets minted 39.4 million RLUSD tokens in the last 24 hours.
- XRP traders are watching both the network update and recent price movement closely.
XRP Ledger (XRPL) validators are rushing to update their systems before a key amendment goes live later this month. Ripple news shows that developers close to the network warned that nodes still using older software may lose connection to the blockchain once the update becomes active.
The warning has also drawn fresh attention to RLUSD minting and XRP price movement.
Ripple News: XRP Ledger (XRPL) Validators Asked to Upgrade Quickly
A new message from developers in the XRP Ledger community has focused on version 3.1.3 of the network software. Validators, exchanges, wallet providers, and projects running XRPL nodes are being told to complete the update before the amendment becomes active in the coming days.
XRPL developer Vet said around 40% of the network had already upgraded to the new version. He warned that nodes still running older software would no longer communicate properly with the network after the fix amendment goes live.
Community member J. Ayo Akinyele later shared another Ripple news, saying the number had climbed to 44%. He also asked node operators to update quickly before the deadline arrives.

The message matters because validators help keep the XRP Ledger working smoothly. If too many nodes remain on older software, some services connected to the network may experience problems after the amendment is activated.
Developers have spent the past week contacting exchanges and XRPL projects to make sure they are prepared. The Ripple news suggests that NFT marketplaces, decentralized exchange platforms, and wallet services connected to the blockchain could also update before the deadline.
The XRP Ledger uses amendments to add fixes and improve network performance. Once validators approve an amendment and it becomes active, older versions may stop working correctly with the updated chain rules.
Many community members believe the transition will happen without major problems because the number of upgraded validators has continued to rise during the past few days.
RLUSD Minting Activity Trends with the Latest Ripple News
At the same time, fresh RLUSD minting activity has started a new discussion across the XRP community.
Blockchain tracking platform Bithomp’s latest tweet is trending with the Ripple news. It shared that 39.4 million RLUSD tokens were minted within the last 24 hours. The update showed several large transactions linked to Ripple wallets on the network.
Some of the transfers involved minting amounts above 15 million RLUSD at once. Other transactions ranged between one million and two million RLUSD. The strong minting activity has caught attention because stablecoin growth is often linked to rising network use.

Traders typically watch stablecoin supply closely, as it can signal higher payment activity and trading demand across a blockchain. Ripple continues to expand its payment business around RLUSD and the XRP Ledger.
Supporters of the network believe that stronger, more stable use of stablecoins could help bring more liquidity and users to the ecosystem over time.
XRP Price History Remains Mixed
XRP price performance over the years has been erratic, even with all the work being done with the network. From past return figures, XRP has seen an increase of 0.50% up to now in 2026 compared to its 0.80% decline in 2025.
In 2024, the coin posted a yearly gain of 3.17%. Ripple news also reveals that XRP delivered a stronger rise of 9.84% in 2023. Earlier years were far weaker. The asset dropped 28.4% in 2022 and lost another 34.4% in 2021. In 2020, XRP closed the year down by 4.40%.
Even with the mixed price record, many holders are still watching network growth closely. While the new push for upgrading validators, alongside the increased activity on RLUSD, keeps the focus on the XRP Ledger prior to the announcement of the amendment. Even more validators are expected to upgrade their systems before the amendment comes out.
