Key Insights:
- Robinhood chain is bringing AI trading agents to crypto with automated, rule-based trading tools.
- The AI ecosystem of Robinhood Chain has exceeded $100 million in trading volume.
- Robinhood Chain is growing rapidly, surpassing $115 million in TVL.
Robinhood chain is deepening its presence in the AI sector with a dual strategy. It combines AI-powered investing tools with its Layer-2 blockchain for on-chain financial applications.
The Robinhood chain has been making crypto headlines lately, especially since its launch. Meme coins have been driving heavy volumes in the network’s first few days of existence.
However, the Robinhood chain appears to be positioning itself as a key infrastructure for AI agents. This could drive volumes beyond the short-term hype usually associated with meme coins.
The company plans to extend the technology beyond investing by allowing users to authorize AI agents to complete purchases using their credit cards.
Robinhood acknowledged that AI agents could help retail investors respond more quickly to market opportunities. It could give them access to tools that have traditionally been used by institutional investors.
Similar views have been shared by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, who believe AI agents will become major users of blockchain-based financial services in the coming years.
$100M AI Agent Trading Volume on Robinhood Chain
The AI agent ecosystem on Robinhood Chain has generated more than $100 million in cumulative trading volume, a figure that reflects AI agent activity rather than the network’s overall transaction volume. This marks another milestone in the expansion of AI-powered blockchain infrastructure.
Virtuals Protocol, the Society of AI Agents, shared the data via an X post on July 16 that more than 2,447 AI agents have been deployed on Robinhood Chain. The platform also disclosed that developers building these agents have collectively earned over $1.8 million.

The latest figures indicate that both developers and users are increasingly exploring AI-powered applications for on-chain trading and portfolio management.
The rapid growth also highlights the broader trend of combining artificial intelligence with decentralized finance. Traders have been using AI agents to monitor markets, identify trading opportunities, and execute transactions.
Robinhood Chain Sees Strong Early Growth
Johann Kerbrat is Robinhood’s senior vice president and general manager of crypto. His X post on July 10 revealed that Robinhood Chain processed 17 million transactions from nearly 350,000 wallet addresses during its first week after launching on July 1.
The network has also recorded strong on-chain growth. According to DeFiLlama, Robinhood Chain’s total value locked has climbed above $115 million after a 23% increase in 24 hours, while the number of wallet addresses has approached 200,000.
Onchain data also revealed that the network ranks second only to Ethereum in 24-hour Uniswap trading volume. Its daily volume pushed to around $500 million after surpassing $250 million in cumulative trading volume during its first week.
Is HOOD Price Cooling Off After the Chain Launch Hype?
Robinhood’s stock has been on an overall uptrend since early May. This was likely building up hype for the Robinhood chain launch, which has been evident over the last 2 weeks.
The HOOD price chart on TradingView shows it climbed from a low of $69.93 in late April to a high of $120 on July 2. However, that momentum did not translate into significant price gains during the first half of July.
HOOD stock traded at $109 at press time. Its RSI also adopted a downtrend, signaling that it may be losing its bullish momentum. The big question now is whether this is another correction before the next leg up, or the enthusiasm surrounding the Robinhood Chain launch will fade over time.

Note that every push-up on the HOOD stock price was accompanied by a slight correction. It is possible that a similar move may occur after the latest push.
That could depend heavily on whether the Robinhood chain continues to expand its ecosystem and attract user activity. It may also be determined by the overall market conditions.
Nevertheless, the network has significant potential to expand its role in AI-powered on-chain finance and automated investing. One reason is that the chain may allow Robinhood investors to explore growth opportunities beyond stocks and into the crypto world.
