XRP News: Ripple Exec Breaks Down Next XRP Ledger Amendment

Key Insights:

  • Ripple news shows that the next XRP Ledger update includes five proposed amendments aimed at improving privacy, payments, token management, and settlement.
  • The changes are expected in the upcoming xrpld 3.3.0 release but will only go live after validator approval.
  • XRP remains above a key support area as traders watch whether the price can reclaim $1.10.

Ripple news is back in focus after Ripple executive Jazzi Cooper explained five proposed XRP Ledger amendments expected in the next software release. The changes cover privacy, settlement, account control, fees, and token updates, while XRP price continues to trade around an important support level.

However, the price targets and projections mentioned in this article are derived from technical analysis and market indicators. Ripple News Explains Five New XRP Ledger Changes

Ripple executive Jazzi Cooper has shared details about five proposed amendments expected in the upcoming xrpld 3.3.0 release. The update is aimed at giving the XRP Ledger more tools for tokenized assets and making it easier for businesses to use the network.

The first amendment is called Confidential MPT. It gives Multi-Purpose Tokens a privacy feature by using zero-knowledge proofs together with elliptic-curve encryption.

This allows balances and transfer amounts to stay private even though the transactions are recorded on a public blockchain. At the same time, approved parties such as auditors or regulators can still check transaction details when needed.

Another amendment is Batch. This allows as many as eight transactions from different accounts to be processed together in one ledger. Every transaction must succeed before the batch is completed.

If one transaction fails, the others do not go through. Cooper said this can support delivery-versus-payment and atomic settlement, where both sides of a transaction are completed at the same time.

Per the Ripple news, Permission Delegation is also part of the proposal. It lets institutions give limited transaction rights without giving away full control of their signing keys. For example, treasury teams can keep custody of important keys while allowing other teams to perform approved tasks.

The fourth amendment is Sponsored Fees and Reserves. Under this system, a sponsor such as a bank, platform, or issuer can pay XRP transaction fees and account reserve costs for another user.

New users can start using the XRP Ledger without first buying XRP, while they still keep control of their own accounts and private keys.

The last amendment is Dynamic MPT. Right now, a Multi-Purpose Token cannot easily be changed after it is created.

The new feature would allow issuers to decide which settings can be updated later. That could include transfer fees, metadata, or other approved options without creating a new token and asking holders to move their assets.

Cooper added that the release is expected next week. However, the amendments will only become active after they receive validator approval.

XRP Price Holds Key Support

XRP is still trading around an important support level, according to market analyst EGRAG CRYPTO. The market analyst said XRP price is holding between $1.048 and $1.05 on the four-hour chart, although the market structure still shows lower highs.

A move above $1.083 would be the next step, followed by a break and close above $1.10. If that happens, the next price levels to watch are $1.14, $1.183, $1.20, and $1.30. On the downside, losing the $1.048 support could send XRP toward the next liquidity area between $1.008 and $1.00.

For now, traders are watching two price levels more than any others. The first is the support around $1.05. The second is the resistance at $1.10, which many see as the level that could decide the next move while the proposed XRP Ledger amendments wait for validator approval.

Evernorth Deal Moves Ahead With Fresh Funding

It is important to mention in another Ripple news that while attention remains on the XRP Ledger, another update came from Xaif Crypto.

According to the report, Arrington XRP Capital has provided about $135,000 in working capital to Evernorth XRP. The funding is meant to support the company while its proposed Ripple Labs business combination remains underway.

It is worth noting that the report said the sponsor funding is helping keep the transaction moving as the merger process continues. No new timeline for the business combination was shared.
