Ethereum Price Prediction: Analyst Says ETH Could Rally to $3,000 if Clarity Act Passes

Key Insights:

  • Ethereum price prediction centers on reclaiming $2,550 before a possible move toward $3,000.
  • Van de Poppe tracks $2,448 support after Ethereum’s short-term liquidity sweep.
  • Kalshi gives July 2027 passage 70% odds, while an analyst stresses a longer legislative process.

Ethereum price prediction today focuses on the $2,550 level as lawmakers get ready to vote on the Clarity Act this week. Ethereum’s move follows a rebound from an intraday low near $2,465.

The ETH price reached about $2,530 before easing toward $2,516 after several volatile swings. ETH returned above $2,500 during the latest recovery shown in the supplied market snapshot. It has gained 33.4% over 30 days, although its annual performance shows a 46.3% decline.

Elsewhere, Ted Pillows links passage to a possible breakout, while Michaël van de Poppe tracks a short-term support retest. Meanwhile, Daan Crypto Trades cautions that the vote represents an initial legislative stage.

Ethereum Price Prediction Centers on $2,550

Against that market position, Ted Pillows says Ethereum price has failed to secure a weekly close above $2,550. His weekly chart places ETH price near $2,522, slightly below the marked resistance at $2,546.78.

However, the price stays above the 50-week exponential moving average at $2,386.63. ETH also trades above the 50-week simple moving average, which stands near $2,470.83.

Pillows’ Ethereum price prediction links the Clarity Act passage with a potential $2,550 reclaim. Under his scenario, that move could expose the next resistance around $2,800. A break above that area would bring his $3,000 target into focus.

Conversely, renewed rejection could direct price toward initial support around $2,180. His chart marks additional downside levels near $1,965 and $1,713.

Retest Supports the Short-Term Recovery

Meanwhile, Michaël van de Poppe presents a shorter-term Ethereum price prediction through a one-hour chart. It shows ETH near $2,519 after rebounding from the $2,448 support area.

The recovery follows a sharp liquidity sweep toward $2,665 and a subsequent retest of the lower zone. Van de Poppe says that the retest holds as support, maintaining the path toward recent highs.

He also expects Ethereum price to outperform Bitcoin if lawmakers advance the Clarity Act. However, his chart sets clear conditions around the current recovery. Holding $2,448 could support another move toward the recent high. A breakdown would instead expose support at $2,399, $2,354, and $2,307. The marked bullish structure weakens if ETH price falls below $2,239.

Alongside those levels, the relative strength index sits near neutral territory. The moving average convergence divergence indicator shows cooling momentum. These readings show neither strong upside acceleration nor a confirmed breakdown on the displayed timeframe. Accordingly, price behavior around $2,448 provides the immediate test within van de Poppe’s setup.

CLARITY Act Vote Marks Only the Bill’s First Stage

Amid the Ethereum price discussions, Daan Crypto Trades separates the approaching vote from final passage. He describes the development as a constructive start for the Clarity Act’s first stage. Even if lawmakers approve the measure, the broader legislative process would continue beyond this vote. Therefore, he expects final approval to require more time.

Daan also identifies the Federal Open Market Committee meeting as another near-term source of uncertainty. He says recent economic data and Bitcoin weakness have pressured coins attempting to recover. Additionally, he links the past week’s market action to broad de-risking. He expects de-risked capital to return after these events pass, although prices could move either direction first.

Notably, AP reports that President Donald Trump accepted a new bipartisan ethics provision within the broad crypto bill. The updated provision requires him to divest covered crypto interests or place them into a blind trust. This reported change arrives as the measure heads toward a vote.

Meanwhile, Kalshi traders assign 70% odds to the Clarity Act or qualifying legislation passing before July 2027. That reading has increased from roughly 36%. Earlier deadlines carry lower probabilities. Traders assign a 45% chance before April 2027 and 37% before January 2027.
