- Arbitrum ranks first among the remaining chains by trading activity.
- HYPE crypto is up about 5% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.
Hyperliquid price prediction comes at a time when HYPE traded near $82.42, gaining about 5.5% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. The HYPE crypto price stayed near the upper end of its $77.19 to $83.09 daily range. Meanwhile, Hyperliquid led the listed perpetual trading platforms with $240 billion in 30-day volume.
CryptoRank data dated September 16 showed a wide gap between Hyperliquid and the other five platforms tracked.
Hyperliquid Price Prediction Based on $83.09
CoinGecko showed HYPE trading near $78 before price action turned volatile during the observed session. The token briefly fell toward $77 before recovering during the second half of the period. Moreover, buyers pushed HYPE above $80 around midday before the move accelerated.

That advance carried HYPE above $83 before the token eased back toward $82.40. The session low at $77.19 marks nearby support within the current 24-hour structure. Meanwhile, $83.09 marks immediate resistance after setting the top of the daily range.
Those boundaries define the short-term Hyperliquid price prediction setup from the supplied chart. A move above $83.09 would take HYPE beyond its recorded 24-hour high. Conversely, a drop below $77.19 would move the price beneath the session floor.
Market figures also showed an $18.34 billion market capitalization and about $1.19 billion in 24-hour trading volume. Hyperliquid recorded approximately $6.69 billion in total value locked. Additionally, CoinGecko showed HYPE gaining about 5% over 24 hours.
Shorter periods showed mixed performance around that broader rise. The token gained about 1.6% over seven days. However, its 14-day performance stood about 1% lower.
Hyperliquid Leads 30-Day Perpetual Volume
Amid this performance, CryptoRank placed Hyperliquid at $240 billion in 30-day perpetual trading volume as of September 16. That figure exceeded Arbitrum’s $47.2 billion by $192.8 billion. It also topped the combined $226 billion recorded by the other five platforms in the chart.

Across all six platforms, total perpetual volume reached roughly $466 billion. Meanwhile, activity among the remaining platforms stayed within a much narrower range.
Arbitrum ranked second with $47.2 billion, while Solana followed at $46 billion. Lighter recorded $45.6 billion, and Ethereum posted $44.9 billion. EdgeX completed the group with $42.3 billion.
Notably, only $4.9 billion separated Arbitrum and EdgeX across those five platforms. Hyperliquid’s reported volume was also more than five times Arbitrum’s total during the same 30-day period.
HYPE Crypto Derivatives Activity Expands
Derivatives activity increased alongside the HYPE crypto price move. Trading volume rose 20.3% to $3.65 billion, while open interest climbed 7.42% to $3.07 billion. Options volume also increased 107.48% to $6.60 million.
At the same time, options open interest rose 13.81% to $44.91 million. However, the reported options figures stayed considerably below the perpetual futures market totals.

Liquidations reached $3.85 million over 24 hours. Short positions accounted for $2.92 million, while long liquidations totaled about $928,260. Shorts therefore represented roughly 76% of the reported 24-hour liquidations.
The short-side imbalance also appeared across shorter windows. Over 12 hours, shorts made up $1.95 million of $2.20 million in liquidations. Meanwhile, four-hour liquidations totaled $1.74 million, including $1.52 million from shorts and $215,900 from longs.
The one-hour figures were almost evenly split. Total liquidations reached about $369,580, with longs at $185,210 and shorts at $184,370. That balance differed from the heavier short liquidations recorded over four, 12, and 24 hours.
Positioning data showed a broader 24-hour long-to-short ratio of 1.0137. Binance HYPE/USDT accounts recorded a 1.5176 ratio, while OKX HYPE accounts showed 1.32. Additionally, Binance top traders posted 1.4876 per account and 1.7252 per position.
