Ripple News: XRP, RLUSD Push Expands Into Corporate Treasury

Key Insights:

  • Ripple news positioned XRP and RLUSD for corporate treasury operations.
  • Ripple cited payroll, cross-border transfers, and continuous liquidity as use cases.
  • Stripe’s primary materials did not confirm a direct integration with Ripple.

Ripple said corporate finance teams were moving beyond viewing digital assets only as speculative instruments. In a late Sept. 17 post, the company pointed to XRP and RLUSD for treasury, payroll, and cross-border flows. Ripple framed round-the-clock onchain markets as a way for finance teams to manage liquidity outside banking hours.

The message extended Ripple’s broader effort to position digital assets inside corporate treasury systems. Ripple Treasury already supports digital asset balances alongside fiat, while RLUSD provides a dollar-linked settlement asset. The latest comments focused on operational use rather than token-price expectations.

Ripple News Focuses on Corporate Treasury Utility

Ripple Treasury launched native digital asset capabilities on April 1, the company said in an official announcement. The platform lets treasury teams view and manage both fiat and digital liquidity within a single system. Ripple said balances can include XRP and Ripple USD alongside conventional cash positions.

Renaat Ver Eecke, senior vice president of Ripple Treasury, said finance teams were shifting from asking whether to use digital assets. He said the focus had moved toward deployment without disrupting existing treasury operations. Ripple’s current message followed that same corporate-use theme.

Ripple also cited its April 2026 survey of more than 1,000 finance leaders. The company said 72% believed they had to offer a digital asset solution to remain competitive. Ripple said 74% believed stablecoins could improve cash-flow efficiency and free trapped working capital.

Those figures reflected Ripple’s own research, not independent adoption data. They therefore show executive sentiment within the company’s survey sample rather than confirmed enterprise deployment.

RLUSD and XRP Serve Different Treasury Functions

Ripple’s product material described XRP and RLUSD as serving different functions. XRP trades freely in open markets, while RLUSD targets a one-dollar value. Ripple said RLUSD remains redeemable one-for-one against U.S. dollars under applicable terms.

Ripple’s transparency page showed $2.3956 billion in circulating RLUSD as of Sept. 3. It listed $2.5177 billion in reserve funds for the same reporting date. Ripple said segregated reserves contained cash and other qualifying liquid assets.

CoinGecko data showed RLUSD trading near $1.00 on Sept. 18. Its market capitalization stood near $2.36 billion, with roughly $229 million in 24-hour volume. The stablecoin ranked 42nd by market capitalization on CoinGecko at the time of publication.

XRP remained exposed to broader crypto-market volatility. CoinGlass showed XRP near $1.30, with about $3.41 billion in 24-hour futures volume. Open interest stood near $2.75 billion, while spot volume was about $761 million.

That distinction matters for treasury use. RLUSD targets dollar stability, while XRP carries market-price exposure. Companies evaluating either asset would therefore face different accounting, liquidity, and risk-management considerations.

Ripple News Does Not Confirm Claimed Stripe Integration

A separate social media post claimed that Ripple had integrated with Stripe and Tempo’s Machine Payments Protocol. Primary material from Stripe did not confirm that claim.

Stripe introduced the Machine Payments Protocol on March 18 with Tempo. Stripe described it as an open standard for programmatic payments between artificial intelligence agents and services. The company said the protocol could support stablecoin and fiat payments.

However, Stripe’s announcement did not mention Ripple, XRP, or RLUSD. The documentation example referenced crypto payments over the Tempo network, without naming Ripple assets. No Ripple announcement reviewed for this article confirmed a direct Stripe integration.

The distinction prevents an open payment standard from being mistaken for a commercial partnership. Compatibility with a protocol does not by itself establish formal integration between two companies.

Ripple Extends Its Enterprise Payments Strategy

Ripple has continued building around treasury management, payments, custody, and stablecoins. Its treasury platform now combines traditional cash-management functions with digital asset access. Ripple also selected Bank of New York Mellon in 2025 as primary custodian for RLUSD reserves.

The latest treasury messaging, therefore, fits an existing enterprise strategy. It does not establish new Stripe support or guarantee corporate adoption of XRP or RLUSD. Market data also showed XRP remained volatile while RLUSD stayed close to its dollar target.

The next verifiable development will come from Ripple or Stripe if either company confirms direct support for the Machine Payments Protocol. Until then, Ripple’s confirmed update remains focused on XRP and RLUSD use cases for corporate treasury operations.
