Key Insights
- Sui crypto price reclaimed $1 as buyers returned across spot markets.
- Analysts identified $1.40 as the next major resistance area.
- Derivatives activity remained elevated as open interest topped $1 billion.
Sui price extended its weekly recovery on Sept. 26 after reclaiming the $1 area and trading near $1.19. The rebound drew attention after analysts identified $1.40 as the next resistance zone.
The move followed a broader recovery in Sui crypto activity and trading demand. Rising spot volume, derivatives positioning, and new ecosystem releases strengthened the market backdrop without confirming further upside.
Sui Price Extends Recovery Above $1
CoinMarketCap data showed SUI trading near $1.19, up about 17% over 24 hours. Trading volume reached roughly $1.77 billion, while market capitalization approached $4.9 billion.

The token traded between $1.01 and $1.21 during the same period. That range placed SUI above the $1 level identified by analysts as an important technical pivot.
CoinMarketCap also showed SUI’s circulating supply near 4.09 billion tokens. The maximum supply remained capped at 10 billion SUI.
That supply profile matters because price gains can coincide with future token releases. Investors therefore track circulating supply alongside market capitalization when judging valuation shifts.
Sui Price Structure Points Toward $1.40 Resistance
Ali Martinez wrote on X that SUI had confirmed three macro buy signals on its weekly chart. He said price bounced from the lower channel and reclaimed its mid-range near $1.
Martinez identified the channel top near $1.40 as the next technical objective. His setup depended on SUI holding above the reclaimed mid-range rather than immediately reversing below it.
Michaël van de Poppe separately said SUI had swept the previous high near $1.15. He identified $1.40 as the next upside level, while pointing to $1.05 as a preferred correction zone.

The two analyses placed similar resistance near $1.40 but used different entry assumptions. Martinez focused on the weekly channel structure, while Van de Poppe favored a pullback toward higher-timeframe support.
Sui Crypto Derivatives Activity Remains Elevated
CoinGlass data showed derivatives activity remained elevated during the rebound. SUI futures open interest stood near $1.01 billion, with 24-hour futures volume around $2.42 billion.
The platform also recorded about $7.1 million in liquidations over 24 hours. High derivatives turnover can amplify price swings when leveraged traders crowd one side of the market.

Spot volume on CoinGlass reached about $559 million during the same period. The gap between futures and spot turnover showed that leveraged trading remained an important part of SUI activity.
DefiLlama data showed Sui decentralized finance activity also improved alongside the token rebound. Total value locked reached about $567 million, rising roughly 7.6% over 24 hours.
The network processed about $90 million in decentralized exchange volume during the same period. Stablecoin market capitalization stood near $482 million, while daily transactions exceeded 36 million.
DefiLlama recorded roughly $901,000 in 24-hour network inflows. It also counted about 134,500 active addresses and nearly 13,600 new addresses during the measured period.
The network data offered a broader participation gauge than price alone. Still, daily activity can fluctuate sharply and does not guarantee sustained demand for SUI.
Sui Price Faces $1.40 Ahead Of Basecamp Catalyst
Sui Foundation announced the DeepBook App launch on Sept. 24. The organization said more than 15 applications already routed trades through DeepBook’s shared order book.
The Foundation said that the order book had processed more than $20 billion in Sui trading volume. DeepBook launched Spot and Predict products, following a waitlist exceeding 150,000 traders.
Sui also launched gasless stablecoin transfers on Mainnet in May. The protocol feature lets supported stablecoins move without users holding SUI separately for gas payments.
These developments added protocol activity behind the current market move. They also gave traders fresh ecosystem data beyond technical chart signals.
Sui Basecamp 2026 will run Oct. 7–8 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Sui said the event would feature product announcements, artificial intelligence sessions, and another throughput experiment.
The Foundation plans another test after reporting more than 6 million transactions per second in July. The event therefore provides a dated catalyst following the current SUI recovery.
Near term, the Sui price faces resistance around $1.40 based on both analyst setups. A pullback toward $1.05 would test the support zone identified by Van de Poppe.
SUI first has to preserve the reclaimed $1 area for the current structure to remain intact. Traders will then watch Oct. 7–8 for fresh protocol announcements from Sui Basecamp.
