Binance.US Adds Apple Pay Funding and Passkey Login in 2026 Product Push

The exchange’s June and August community updates also restored domestic wires and opened a self-custody Web3 Wallet preview, while it lists SOC 2 Type II and licenses in 32 states and territories.

Binance.US spent the summer of 2026 fixing the parts of its platform that US customers touch every day: how they fund an account, how they log in, and how they get back in when something goes wrong. Two community updates, published July 3 and August 20, 2026, lay out the changes. They include Apple Pay and Google Pay funding, passkey login, the return of domestic wire transfers, and a self-custody Web3 Wallet in early preview.

The upgrades arrive alongside compliance credentials the company lists on its About page, including a SOC 2 Type II attestation from January 2026 and money transmitter licenses in 32 US states and territories. This report covers what changed, what the company says about the results, and what remains unconfirmed. It makes no price predictions and offers no investment advice.

Funding and Access Changes for US Users

Getting money in and out is where many customers meet friction, and it is where Binance.US made its most visible changes. Among crypto exchanges in the USA, the platform now accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay funding alongside debit and credit cards, according to its August 2026 community update. The June update confirmed that domestic wire deposits and withdrawals are available again.

The company also reports that USD deposit “insufficient balance” failures fell 34% and that bank-linking support contacts dropped 20%. Both figures are company-reported, and neither has been independently verified.

Passkeys, Reactivation and Onboarding Fixes

Passkey login arrived with the August update. The June update added self-serve account reactivation, which lets customers reactivate an account themselves.

Onboarding shows the biggest reported gain: basic verification failures fell 88%, per the same June update. That’s a large number from an unstated baseline, and the company hasn’t published the underlying counts, so read it as direction rather than a measured benchmark. USD services have returned in stages, a thread we followed in our earlier USD restoration report.

Attestations Behind the Upgrades

Product changes carry more weight when the controls behind them can be checked. Binance.US lists a SOC 2 Type II attestation from January 2026, ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certifications, and PCI DSS compliance. It says customer assets sit in US-based custody on a 1:1 full-reserve basis, with most held in offline cold storage. Customers should treat all of this as company statements until they review the documentation themselves.

On licensing, the company reports money transmitter licenses in 32 US states and territories as of June 2026, plus a FinCEN money services business registration dated June 11, 2019. Its NMLS ID is 1906829, which anyone can look up through NMLS Consumer Access. Licensing is state by state, so available products vary by residence. The exchange also issues IRS Forms 1099-DA or 1099-MISC when applicable.

Alerts, Staking and a Wallet Preview

The August update rebuilt the Market tab and search and added price alerts for every held or favorited asset. The June update had already started rolling out market-alert push notifications. Staking now pays weekly or monthly rewards on 25+ coins, and staking carries its own risks, so read the terms for each asset.

The Web3 Wallet is a self-custody product, meaning users, rather than the exchange, hold the keys. It offers swaps, multi-chain support, and a dApp library, but it’s a preview for select users, not a general launch. Fees get one line here: since April 22, 2026, Advanced (Spot) pairs cost 0% maker and 0.02% taker or lower, according to the Business Wire release.

Looking Ahead

Binance.US lists a bank-linking redesign and clearer deposit-hold disclosures as upcoming work. CEO Stephen Gregory took over on March 9, 2026, and the company’s stated plans include expanding Earn, adding staking options and exploring DeFi and tokenized-asset products, as laid out in our coverage of the new CEO.

None of those plans is a delivered product yet, and each depends on execution and on state regulators. Smoother funding and login don’t reduce market risk. Crypto prices remain volatile, and nothing here is investment advice.
