BlackRock Partner Securitize Announces Integration Plans With Stellar (XLM)

Key Insights:

  • Securitize plans to bring its regulated tokenization infrastructure to Stellar, expanding its supported networks to 17.
  • The Stellar integration could give institutional asset managers more choices for issuing and distributing tokenized financial assets.
  • XLM trades at $0.1696 in the supplied data, while historical October losses and the tokenomics discussion remain relevant to its outlook.

Securitize plans to integrate with Stellar (XLM), bringing its regulated tokenization infrastructure to the network. The move would expand support for issuing and managing tokenized financial assets while giving institutional asset managers more options for distributing products.

Securitize Plans Stellar Integration to Expand Tokenized Assets

Securitize has announced plans to integrate with Stellar, adding another blockchain network to its support for tokenized financial assets. The company said the move would allow it to support asset issuance and management on Stellar.

The planned integration brings Securitize’s regulated infrastructure to an ecosystem that ranks fourth in tokenized real-world assets, according to the RWA.xyz’s RWA League Table. It also marks the 17th network supported by Securitize.

The development could give institutional asset managers more flexibility when choosing where to issue and distribute tokenized products. Rather than relying on a single blockchain, they would have more networks to consider, depending on their operating needs and target investors.

Securitize said Stellar was built with financial products and services in mind. Its features support regulated uses, while financial institutions around the world already issue assets and settle payments on the network.

Stellar has also processed billions of operations since its launch. This existing activity gives the proposed integration a network with established financial use cases rather than one focused only on future adoption.

However, Securitize described the move as a plan. The announcement did not provide a launch date or confirm that the integration was already live.

Stellar’s Financial Activity Supports Its Utility Push

The planned integration comes as Stellar’s ecosystem discusses how the network should create more value from its existing activity. At the Meridian event, discussions about Stellar raised the question of whether its tokenomics should change to reflect growing network usage.

Notably, the proposal focuses on the possibility of creating a rewards mechanism from the network’s existing fee pool. The idea is to explore whether this could improve utility across the ecosystem.

Stellar already supports cross-border transfers involving different currencies, with transactions settling in seconds. Its network also hosts businesses holding balances onchain, as well as trading and lending markets that operate around the clock.

These activities have helped shape the argument that network use should play a greater role in determining XLM’s purpose. The discussion does not confirm that a new rewards system has been approved or introduced.

Instead, the Stellar Development Foundation team and external researchers have spent time examining possible changes. The next step is to share ideas and gather feedback, particularly from people building applications and services on the network.

Securitize’s planned integration fits into this wider focus on financial use cases. If implemented, it could bring more tokenized asset activity to Stellar. However, the announcement does not confirm how much activity or investment the network would gain.

XLM Price Outlook Faces October Weakness

CoinGecko showed that XLM price was trading at $0.1696, up 0.66% at the time of writing. Its 24-hour range was $0.1671 to $0.1722, reflecting price movement during that period.

However, Stellar’s historical October performance points to a mixed record, with several recent years showing losses. XLM fell 24.3% in October 2026, while October 2025 recorded a 16.2% decline. The token also lost 6.04% in October 2023 and 2.60% in October 2021. October 2022 was different, with a gain of 7.89%.

The annual figures also show pressure on the price. XLM recorded a 39.7% decline in 2025, while the supplied 2026 data showed a 15.2% drop. By contrast, the token gained 156.2% in 2024. Its yearly trading ranges were $0.1897 to $0.5194 in 2025 and $0.0761 to $0.6261 in 2024, as per CoinLore data. For 2026, the listed range was $0.1385 to $0.2949.

The planned Securitize integration could strengthen Stellar’s role in tokenized finance if it leads to greater use of the network. However, the announcement alone does not establish that XLM will rise in price. Investors will need to watch for further details on the integration and any progress on Stellar’s proposed tokenomics review.
