Justin Sun is the founder of the rapidly growing smart contract-enabled crypto platform, Tron. Recently, he has announced that he will be flying to space in 2022 to fulfill one of his childhood dreams. According to the announcement, his space trip will be done in a spaceship of Blue Origin, which is the space program of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. Notably, Blue Origin had also made its first inaugural flight in July this year. However, the announcement by Tron founder also highlighted that he will be going with more than five unknown individuals with him.
Justin Sun of Tron will travel to space
Tron founder will fly to space next year to fulfill his childhood dream. Blue Origin’s services would help the crypto entrepreneur to get out of our planet’s atmosphere. Moreover, it has also been revealed that Justin Sun had five unnamed winners of an auction to be in the inaugural flight of the firm with Bezos.
Notably, Sun has paid $28 million to be a part of the launch. According to Sun, he won the auction six months ago to go and explore outer space. However, at the time Tron founder missed the launch, but that did not halt his interest.
It is also worth noting that Justin Sun has recently left his position at the Tron Foundation, the organization behind the blockchain project. In contrast, currently he represents Grenada to the World Trade Organization. Furthermore, he had declared as he would leave for the space voyage, he would also take the flag of his country with him.
Party of six for the space voyage
Justin Sun has already clarified that he won’t be going alone to space. Five individuals from different backgrounds will be joining him in the space trip. The campaign, which was named “Sea of Stars” will be nominating those five individuals to complete the party of six for the journey.
According to the announcement, the first of the nominees for the voyage will be a cryptocurrency entrepreneur related to the metaverse. Second nominee will be a part of the Tron’s decentralized autonomous organization, TronDAO, which is the decentralized governing body of the project. Notably, the DAO’s members can have any background coming from the community.
The third nominee for the trip will be chosen among tech entrepreneurs. Fourth nominee must have a background from the world of art. In contrast, the fifth and the final nominee will be a highly visible and socially influential celebrity, who is going to be a mysterious guest.
When will the 5 members be revealed?
According to Justin Sun, the nominees who would join him in the trip will be revealed in the coming months. The Tron founder has also underscored that no names have yet been decided for the positions as per his expectations. However, the specific date for the launch is yet to be revealed. According to the official website for the Sea of Stars event, the ship by Blue Origin will launch in Q4 2022.
