Less than a week ago, Snoop Dogg acquired the brand from MNRK Music Group. The rapper has now jumped on Clubhouse and revealed his tremendous plans. Indeed, Snoop Dogg will now convert the Death Row into the metaverse.
According to the rapper, Death Row is going to be an NFTs label. The pop star will put his artists through the metaverse and through a whole other chain of music. He further claimed that it is going to be “The First Major in the Metaverse”.
Moreover, Snoop Dogg explains that similar to how they have broken the industry when they were the first independent to be major. Indeed, the rapper wants to be the first major in the metaverse so Death Row will be an NFT.
Snoop Dogg launches his latest album BODR
Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. The American rapper who is eventually known as Snoop Dogg has launched his latest album Bacc on Death Row through blockchain gaming platform Gala Games. Fans with $5k going spare for the Non-Fungible Token, “stash box”, version of the album were rewarded with three bonus tracks.
Notably, the box sets are limited to 25k and at press time, about 10k had already been sold. Indeed, the sale has totaled near $50 million.
Following the scenario, it is estimated that if all 25k sell, Snoop’s will have a payday of $125 million.
Snoop is bullish on blockchain technology
Recently, the American Rapper highlighted that blockchain technology has the power to change everything again and tip the table in favor of the artists and fans. The ecosystem seems to be right at the front of the pack with the latest Gala Music deal.
Furthermore, Snoop believes that stash box holders can expect to receive exclusive drops. These NFTs will include films, comics, images, and unique concert attendance opportunities.
