PayPal is a multinational financial company offering a diverse variety of financial solutions globally. Recently, the American giant announced its collaboration with ConsenSys, the parent company of MetaMask.
PayPal informed via a tweet that MetaMask US users will now be able to fund their wallet with ETH using PayPal.
The motive for the collaboration is to facilitate users to purchase and transfer ETH from PayPal to Metamask by just logging onto their Mobile MetaMask Application which will later redirect the user to the transaction interface of PayPal.
The product manager of MetaMask, Lorenzo Santos, said, “This integration with PayPal will allow our U.S. users to not just buy crypto seamlessly through MetaMask, but also to easily explore the Web3 ecosystem.”
ConsenSys is a leading Ethereum-based decentralized protocol software company that allows developers, enterprises and individuals around the world to build next-generation applications, launch modern financial infrastructure and access the decentralized web.
The official press release states, “MetaMask will be the first Web3 wallet to leverage PayPal to drive more successful on-ramp transactions.”
The company behind prominent crypto wallet software MetaMask, Consensys, brought their updated privacy policy on 23rd November 23policy noted several new characteristics, more or less additional, asking for more details.
Consensys, as per its privacy policy, would now be collecting IP addresses of Ethereum wallets every time during a transaction. In addition, other details are said to be tracked financial, marketing and usage information of the wallet.
