Yuga Labs’ latest minigame Dookey Dash has been making headlines lately. The company is releasing its content one step at a time. Though there’s no official information, the event may link to their upcoming metaverse game, Otherside. Sewer Pass – the native NFT passes of Dookey Dash – claims started in January 2023, according to the firm’s official announcement on the website’s blog.

Sewer Pass NFTs Surpass $100M in Trading Volume

Dookey Dash has proven successful so far, however, according to the latest thread, around 3,500 of the official Sewer Passes were not claimed for ‘The Summoning.’ Additionally, 789 were claimed but are not eligible for the event. OpenSea data shows around 14.1K Sewer Pass NFTs in the market. Now the ‘sewers’ are closed, and users are waiting for ‘power sources’ they will get based on their scores.

What these ‘power sources’ are is yet to be known. However, there will only be 8 variations in these yet-to-be-revealed items. Furthermore, the team revealed in the Twitter thread that the unclaimed Sewer Passes will be minted and held in a Yuga wallet until the next minigame launch.

According to DappRadar, an NFT data aggregator, Sewer Pass NFTs have gained 102% in trading volume during the past 24 hours. The collection has surpassed $100 Million in all-time sales. Sewer Pass #21915 became the highest-grossing item from the set. Kyle Jackson, known by his YouTube alias Mongraal, sold the token for $1.62 Million in February 2023.

The Bored Ape creators still have much to offer to their users this year. They recently revealed a ‘second trip’ to the Otherside metaverse scheduled on March 25, 2023. Otherdeeds,  the native NFT land plots of the game, have grossed over $1 Billion in sales. Only a couple of the ‘deeds’ went for over a Million, according to the DappRadar data.

However, Otherdeed sales have plunged by 55% in the last 24 hours. Yuga Labs’ prime collection, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), too have lost around 32% during the same period. Though the company launched its products primarily on the Ethereum blockchain, its latest collection, dubbed Twelvefold, was released after Bitcoin’s Ordinals upgrade.

The company will presumably be releasing the Otherside’s official version this year, although they haven’t revealed the date yet. The game could bea huge addition to the metaverse sector as Decentraland and Sandbox still dominate the space.
