Crypto.com partners with StanChart, offers fiat services globally

  • Crypto.com launches global retail services for seamless crypto transactions.
  • Partnership with Standard Chartered boosts crypto accessibility in 90+ countries.
  • Dubai hub enhances Crypto.com‘s commitment to global crypto adoption.

Crypto.com recently announced new global retail services to expand its services in the market as part of its growth plan. In partnership with Standard Chartered Bank, the exchange provides a simple way of depositing and withdrawing in USD, EUR, and AED.

This service allows clients in more than 90 countries to conduct crypto operations using the Crypto.com app easily. Initially, the services were introduced in the UAE, and the company is planning to expand them to other markets.

The decision comes in the light of Dubai’s well-developed regulatory framework, anchored by Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), to ensure safety and compliance for clients across the globe.

Partnership with Standard Chartered

Furthermore, this partnership with Standard Chartered Bank is crucial for Crypto.com as it helps to build the global infrastructure for crypto transactions.

Standard Chartered offers banking services that allow for the real-time handling of numerous currencies on the Crypto.com app, thus enhancing usability for users globally.

Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, emphasized the partnership’s role in enhancing customer experience and security. “Working with Standard Chartered to launch our global retail services is a huge milestone for us,” said Anziani.

He noted that offering robust fiat deposit and withdrawal capabilities is crucial for increasing crypto adoption.

Strategic Hub in Dubai

With Dubai as its regional base, Crypto.com is clearly positioning itself to leverage opportunities in new markets and legal systems therein. The regulatory framework of digital assets in Dubai offers an ideal workplace for crypto firms seeking to increase their international reach safely and responsibly.

Furthermore, the Dubai hub is a central location for Crypto.com’s regional activities and plays a vital role in the deployment of services internationally. This positioning is anticipated to support the firm’s initiatives towards making crypto more accessible and increasing user interaction in various markets.

Broader Impact on Crypto Adoption

Crypto.com’s collaboration with Standard Chartered and its regional hub in Dubai plays a crucial role in expanding the availability of crypto across the world. At the same time, Crypto.com strives to increase the use of digital assets by helping users buy and sell fiat currency for cryptocurrencies easily.

The main focus on such major currencies like USD, EUR, and AED guarantees that these services are suitable for the majority of clients around the world.

Moreover, on August 14, Crypto.com entered into a partnership agreement where it became an official global partner of the UEFA Champions League. This also further places the platform as a bridge between the crypto and the general public. The partnership increases Crypto.com’s reach across the globe and fits with its goal to have crypto in every portfolio.
