EU Regulation: ESMA Adds BingX and YouHodler Entities to MiCA Register

Key Insights:

  • EU Regulation: ESMA’s MiCA register added nine providers, bringing its total to 375.
  • BingX’s Austrian entity received authorization for four crypto-asset services.
  • YouHodler Italy received CONSOB authorization after consultation with the Bank of Italy.

In today’s EU regulation news, the European Securities and Markets Authority’s MiCA register added nine crypto-asset service providers, including entities linked to BingX and YouHodler. The update brought the register’s total to 375 unique providers. ESMA’s register also included firms from Spain and Germany.

The additions include BingX’s Austrian entity, MEGE zweite, and YouHodler Italy S.r.l. Their entries list different authorized services. BingX’s authorization covers four categories, while YouHodler Italy’s list includes custody, exchanges, order execution, and transfers.

Under this EU regulation news, both companies announced their authorizations last week. However, their public statements described separate permissions and plans. The register update also included Prakma Markets, associated with the Goin crypto app, and three German entities.

EU Regulation: ESMA Register Lists BingX’s Austrian Entity

The ESMA register identifies MEGE zweite as BingX’s Austrian entity. Before this EU regulatory news, BingX announced its authorization last week. Its EU chief executive, Daniel Lai, said the approval would let the company operate under a clear regulatory framework as it prepares to offer regulated services across the European Economic Area.

BingX intends to operate in 29 European Economic Area markets. That plan remains subject to the applicable cross-border notification requirements. The company’s announcement and the register entry concern the authorization granted to its Austrian entity.

The authorization covers custody and administration of crypto-assets, exchanges between crypto-assets, and execution of customer orders and crypto-asset transfers. These listed categories describe the services included in the entity’s authorization.

However, those four categories do not authorize every product offered by the wider BingX group. They also do not authorize operating a multilateral trading platform, executing leveraged derivatives contracts, or providing investment advice.

The register therefore distinguishes the listed services from other activities not included in the authorization categories described in the information provided. BingX’s planned regional operations also depend on the applicable notification procedure.

YouHodler Italy in EU Regulation Headlines, Here’s Why

As per the EU regulation news, YouHodler entered the MiCA register through its Italian subsidiary, YouHodler Italy S.r.l. Italy’s securities regulator, CONSOB, granted the authorization under resolution No. 24156, dated October 8, 2026. The decision followed consultation with the Bank of Italy.

YouHodler announced the authorization on October 14. Its public statement described permission to provide custody and administration of crypto-assets, exchanges between crypto-assets and ordinary money, exchanges between crypto-assets, execution of customer orders, and crypto-asset transfers.

The service list includes order execution. However, that category alone does not authorize operation of a separate multilateral trading venue. The regulatory distinction depends on the service categories included in a provider’s authorization.

YouHodler Italy said it plans to provide services across all 27 European Union member states through MiCA’s cross-border procedure. The company’s announcement does not establish that every listed service is already available in every national market.

The authorization is specific to YouHodler Italy S.r.l. and the categories listed for that entity. Its announcement also identifies CONSOB’s resolution date and the regulator’s consultation with the Bank of Italy.

Register Also Adds Spanish and German Providers

Beyond BingX and YouHodler’s EU regulation, the ESMA register update included Spain’s Prakma Markets. The firm is associated with the Goin crypto app, which operates a savings and investment platform.

Germany’s additions included Openbank Deutschland, a subsidiary of Spanish banking group Banco Santander. The update also listed cooperative lenders VR-Bank Alb-Blau-Donau and VR Bank im südlichen Franken.

Germany’s crypto news also made headlines after Deutsche Bank outlined plans to launch crypto custody services. The bank expects to begin within weeks for selected institutional and corporate clients.

Together with BingX and YouHodler, these providers were among the nine additions recorded in the Friday update. ESMA’s register listed 375 unique providers after the additions.

The new entries cover companies connected to crypto services, a savings and investment platform, and banking groups. For BingX and YouHodler, the listed authorizations specify the services each entity may provide under its recorded MiCA status.
