Why Are 30 Million Hamster Kombat Users Missing Out on Token Claims?

  • Hamster Kombat concluded its first season, attracting over 300 million users since its March 2024 launch.
  • Over 30 million users have yet to claim their HMSTR tokens from the September 26 airdrop.
  • The game allocated 75% of its 100 billion tokens to the community, with 60 billion distributed at the end of Season 1.

The Hamster Kombat is now over its first season, with the game having recorded more than 300 million users since its launch in March 2024.

After Season 1, the game had 131 million players prepared for an airdrop on September 26. Still, more than 30 million users have not chosen a way to claim their assigned HMSTR tokens.

Regardless of this, the Hamster Kombat team confirmed that users would still be able to get their tokens back.

The team behind the game has decided to make 60% of airdrop tokens available for withdrawal at any time. The remaining tokens will be unlocked after the next distribution round, coinciding with the beginning of Season 2.

Hamster Kombat Allocates 75% Tokens to Community

The team behind Hamster Kombat decided to use 75% of the 100 billion HMSTR tokens for the community. Of that allocation, 60 billion tokens will be distributed to players at the end of Season 1.

The first airdrop provided players over 53 billion tokens, while the remaining 6.75 billion tokens are locked up for ten months after listing.

According to the game’s plans, 15% of the total token supply will be distributed during Season 2. Those who failed to redeem their tokens on September 26 will have another chance to do so later.

Hamster Kombat is trying to reconnect with its audience to ensure they are interested in the competition, which will start soon.

Hamster Kombat Bans 2.3 Million for Cheating

The game’s latest announcement banned around 2.3 million players for cheating, which many players considered unfair.

Some players complained about the decision, saying the rewards they had collected for a long time were taken away. The game did not explain the disqualification’s rationale, which shocked many users.

Some serious allegations of bias were raised, particularly regarding the bot responsible for generating keys to identify potential hackers.

Some disqualified players were not banned but got the “Cheating is Bad” achievement, which left people in the dark. Nevertheless, the Hamster Kombat team has not responded to customer complaints.

Players Criticize Token Distribution for Influencer Bias

Another controversy regarding the game’s reward system is that some players believed that token distribution was slightly prejudiced towards influencers and referral systems.

Understandably, many users who built their PPH metrics were frustrated by those with inherent referral advantages. This has resulted in disparity within society and, consequently, impasses.

In particular, the airdrop reward distribution issue became the central discussion area after the airdrop announcement.

Players demanded more transparency in how the rewards were distributed in the game. Before the start of Season 2, players expect improvements in the distribution system that will focus on effort and participation.

Interlude Season Offers Chance for Player Engagement

With Hamster Kombat entering its “Interlude Season,” players can earn more rewards, such as diamonds.

These diamonds are expected to be the main asset in the next phase of the game. People are also curious about how these rewards will affect the gameplay in the community.

Of course, the game’s team has not commented on recent events, but the Interlude Season is an excellent chance to get back to the users.

As the future of token distribution and game mechanics remains in the air, the people behind Hamster Kombat will have to work to quell the concerns of their audience.
