Key Insights:
- Ripple Labs received preliminary approval for a CASP license from Luxembourg’s CSSF under the EU’s MiCA framework.
- The approval will allow Ripple to expand regulated cryptoasset and stablecoin payment services across the European Economic Area once fully approved.
- RippleX has opened applications for the Singapore Financial Infrastructure Innovation Program to support founders building solutions on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple Labs’ CASP License approval from Luxembourg has given the company a clear path to offer regulated cryptoasset services across Europe, per the latest XRP news. Notably, a new RippleX program in Singapore shows that the firm is also backing fresh projects being built on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple Labs Gets Green Light for Wider European Reach
Ripple said it has received preliminary approval for a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
Per the XRP news, the approval was issued under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) rules. It comes in the form of a Green Light Letter and still requires final conditions to be met before full approval is granted.
Once completed, the license will allow Ripple to provide regulated cryptoasset services across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area.
The move is important for the company because it expands what it can offer to banks, fintech firms, and businesses across Europe. Ripple said the license will work alongside its existing Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license in the European Union.
With both approvals in place, customers will be able to access cryptoasset and stablecoin payment services via a single connection. This includes collecting funds, exchanging assets, and sending payments through a regulated system.

Europe has become one of Ripple’s biggest markets over the years. The company already works with several large financial institutions in the region and expects demand for digital asset services to keep growing.
Cassie Craddock, Ripple Labs Managing Director for the United Kingdom and Europe, said more financial institutions are exploring blockchain technology for payments, settlements, collateral management, and tokenized assets.
She noted that banks and fintech companies are seeking ways to develop digital asset services as customer demand continues to rise. The Ripple CASP License also gives the company room to expand into other cryptoasset activities in the region as the European market develops under MiCA rules.
Licensing Adds to Ripple’s Growing Regulatory List
The Luxembourg approval follows another regulatory milestone for Ripple earlier this year. In January 2026, the company received an Electronic Money Institution license and cryptoasset registration from the United Kingdom’s Financial Conduct Authority.
Ripple Labs said the combination of its EMI license and the future CASP approval will make its European operations fully compliant with MiCA requirements.
Matthew Osborne, Head of Policy for the United Kingdom and Europe, said Luxembourg has built a strong reputation in financial services and digital asset regulation.
He thanked the CSSF for its approach during the licensing process and said Luxembourg was a natural home for Ripple’s European business because of its experience in financial supervision.
According to the company, Ripple now holds more than 75 regulatory licenses around the world. The firm also highlighted the scale of its payments business. Ripple Payments, its cross-border payment platform, manages the movement of funds for customers and connects them to a global payout network.
The company said the service has processed more than $100 billion in payment volume and currently operates in over 60 markets worldwide.
RippleX Opens Program for XRP Ledger Builders
In another XRP news, RippleX announced a separate initiative aimed at supporting new projects on the XRP Ledger. Applications are now open for the Singapore Financial Infrastructure Innovation Program (SFIIP).
The program is being led by Tenity in partnership with RippleX. The initiative focuses on helping founders build financial products and infrastructure on the XRP Ledger. Applications will remain open until July 25, 2026.

Teams selected for the program will receive technical support, mentorship, and access to experts from both Ripple Labs and Tenity. Participants will also have opportunities to connect with banks, fintech companies, corporate partners, and investors.
Other benefits include one-on-one guidance from founders and industry professionals, potential investment opportunities, and a Demo Day where projects can present their work.
The program is looking for teams working in payments and foreign exchange, credit and financing, collateral and liquidity management, tokenization, agentic payments, compliance solutions, and blockchain infrastructure for institutions.
